Are these pond pumps for fish ponds clean water?

I am using it to pump pond water to a feeder tank to run a river and it is very good. Good strong flow of water.

What is the total diameter of the pump, including the water outlet, as it needs go fit in a 40cm wide hole?

I make it to be approximately 24 cms. Very impressed with the machine!
