This scoop works great. I recently used it on a beach hunt with my metal detector. It’s perfectly designed to allow you to not only use your foot to guide it into the sand, but to also get the perfect depth with each plunge. Great product.

Found zero shark teeth with this. Maybe it was the beach. Maybe the holes are…nah the holes are great. Well engineered. I’m bad at finding things. Quality product.

This is a great sand scoop, very easy to assemble and perfect to use for metal detecting! I love the carbon fiber shaft, it is very light! The scoop itself is amazing and I'm very excited to use it on the beach! Thank you CKG!

This is my first metal scoop and I think it works pretty well. It is not a very large opening, and I even have a little trouble sometimes getting my hand into the scoop to remove an item depending on how my hand is angled, but I chose this model specifically for it being a little thinner of a design with the intention that it would be more "accurate" to pinpoint finds in the sand and not dig up too much. The scoop did develop a very small amount of rust on the edge of one of the holes after only a little use, but I basically oiled the thing after that first use to try preventing any further rust from occurring. I cleaned the scoop off with fresh water after using it on the beach but a small amount of rust still did form. The included plastic handle seems pretty sturdy so far. I embedded a magnet into the round opening and glued it in so I can "test" some metals as I find them right on the scoop. I liked this scoop also because of its ability to ad a handle. I went to home depot and got a fiberglass handled shovel for 13$ and cut off the shovel head and used it for this, very light, almost as good as a carbon fiber one and about 70$ cheaper.! I will probably buy another one of these scoops in a wider version too since I like this first one so much. Would give 5 star if it hadn't developed that spot of rust.

Well made, nice angle to dig with pressure applied by the foot. It doesn't do well in large rocky sand. Although no shovel really does. It's amazing in loose sand! I put an 18" handle on it and it works great!

A little high priced but nice quality. I ordered a inch an eighth bon handle for placers. It’s thick fiberglass and only $20. Also picked up a lock pin for quick attachment. I like the bag and sticker that came with it as well. Works great!

I have not put a handle into the scoop yet but it looks like there is a difference in construction from that advertised. I would want the advertised construction but returning it would be a bother so I will use it as is and hope for the best. The construction I got does not look as solid as it should be and is going to be a weak point. I will try to get a picture to show what I got as opposed to the advertised construction to show that it appears weaker.

Very Nice beach scoop!Very solid and sturdy stainless steel.Good welds. Made Right for heavy use.It’s slightly heavy but a wood handlemakes up for that.I really like it’s size. It take a big bite out of the sand. I can usually retrieve my target in the first scoop.I also like it takes a larger diameter handle.Not sure of exact inside diameter.I used a white wood bow staff cut to length that fit perfectly.

I purchased this scoop at the end of June last year. It got 3 months of use before winter. On the first use this year the weld breaks. After paying $177 + tax I expected much more from this scoop, very disappointing.

The scoop is very sturdy and durable. I'm looking forward to sunny hunting on the beach.

Arrived without the handle, after an hour with various amazon support (AUD/USA/JP) I was unable to get a replacement handle sent out so had to return the item, big hassle as I'm in a rural area, so was a disappointing waste of time (and money).
