Not Compatible for Canon EF to L Mount
Misleading information in the other detail description. It stated for Sigma EF Canon lenses which leads you to believe EF mount lenses will fit this adapter, it's not compatible with Canon EF lenses.

Can you visually tell the difference between SA-L and EF-L?
It's not an EF to L mount.

Erronuous Description: Not Compatible with Canon-mount [Sigma-branded] Lenses
Like some others in here, I thought I had struck gold when I found this adapter at more than half the going market price for the Canon (EF) to Panasonic (L) adapter. Womp womp. This adapter only works with Sigma-mount [SA) lenses. Don't get your hopes up thinking you found a way to game the system as I had hoped. The cheap Chinese adapters have iffy reputations, so we're all on the hook for an extra 200. Factor this into your total purchase price and think twice before spluging on a Lumix S5.side rant:TLDR: this camera is in a bizarre space. On paper it looks like the poor man's slightly-less-kludgy BMPCC 6k alternative. The L-Mount Aliance has a bunch of weird gotchas (lookup the Leica debacle).I ultimately returned my S5 as I ultimately discovered that the Lumix wasn't as cheap as I had originally thought (cost of a dumb adapter + atomos ninja + atomos storage + cable + failure anxiety + atomos fan noise (google it) + lens prices . The video codec is attrocious. If you want to bump up the video quality you're left having to drop more cash on an Atomos which not only introduces an additional point of failure (they fail, the cables fail etc it's a super dicey proposition) but the increase in video quality is largely a theoretical exercise in futility as there's little-to-no subjective data on the matter (nor any real way to measure the quality); and most people will tell you that in reality you're not gaining much quality wise by stepping up to external 6K with the Panasonic. It's an okay-ish camera, but nothing to write home about; nor is it a stellar value proposition. The software for the camera on desktop and especially mobile is absolute garbage and the entire process of dealing with and finding firmware updates is borderline cringe (try it - enjoy the pop-up maze). So yeah.. the adapter won't work with your beloved Canon glass. Once you add all of the costs and look at the entirety of the picture the Lumix S5 doesn't make much sense unless you have cash to burn. I think these cameras were mostly designed as an afterthought. Tons of reviewers received these for free (which is why the hyper positive reviews on YT all fall within a similar date range).worst. date. ever.

NOT FOR BLACKMAGIC CAMERAS
First things first: there are TWO MC-21 adapters: One that works with Canon EF lenses and this one for Sigma SA lenses. Why they couldn't be bothered to rename one instead of confusing the market is beyond me. So if your reading this and wondering why there are plenty of used MC-21 available, it's because people keep buying the wrong one.Second, this absolutely will not work with Blackmagic L-mount cameras beyond their manual controls. So no stabilization, no electronic iris control, and no communication to the camera body about lens information. Even if Sigma were to update the firmware to fix the compatibility, you cannot do so with a Blackmagic camera because only a couple Panasonic and Leica camera bodies have to ability to firmware upgrade the lens hardware that is attached to the body, there is no usb connection on this adapter unlike other brands like Viltrox, etc.So, worth it if your camera body is on the Sigma website and you own the very few SIGMA SA lens mount lenses available on the market (of which there are very few).
