Harman Kardon Infinity Reference X REF-9603ix 6"x9" 3-Way car Speakers

Bought these when wanting very good upgrades from stock in my Honda Accord, after reading so many good reviews. I am a classic/soft rock kinda guy.... like it strong and loud sometimes, but full nonetheless. I do like bass, but only really for quality drum beats, not so much to loosen my car body panels or rattle my license plate off. Exactly what I was looking for. Very impressed. Running off stock, premium sound head unit CD player was fine enough, but final touch was adding Blaupunkt 4-channel, 300W total RMS amp w/ previously installed/upgraded Polk front door speakers. OMG....phenominal sound and reproduction quality, especially when playing CD's. Don't have MP3 input, but that may be same as CD. Bass is much more than I expected with the added amp, don't know why others are saying it isn't much, but maybe they need a subwoofer instead. Aerosmith's, Sweet Emotion is delicious, Madonna's, Holiday beats to the MAX, and many other songs I play are actually over bassed, and must be monitored for possible ear damage. Seriously, I've had to get used to the change in fuller, not just louder volume, and I'm very cool with that. Fuller IS LOUDER :))) And louder is......well its much louder too. I did an outside-of-car test listen and did actually hear some buzzing from side mirrors, so it is plenty of bass with an amp. You will not get great bass response from any speaker without quality amplitude. And I saved good money buying from Amazon, so if you want a supreme quality upgrade from stock and can afford these, do not hesitate. Just do it.

Im prsetty pleased.with them but they have a buzzing tin noise on high treble but they havs great sound.

They were over rated don't come close to my jl speaker

I installed these in the rear of my 2013 MINI Clubman and I am happy with the choice. My head unit is the car's stock base model, low power, with no additional amp, but these speakers are very efficient (94 dB) and they produce plenty of volume and bass after I did the front/rear channel swap. Clear natural sound. I won't shatter any windows, but I can feel the thump and see the rear-view mirror vibrate - plenty for me. I even turned the bass down a notch or two on the head unit. (The "channel swap" is a modification peculiar to MINIs with base, non-Harmon-Kardon, sound. Its purpose is to restore a full-range bass signal to the rear speakers, which, without the swap, have most of their bass signal (below 100 Hz) filtered out, courtesy of MINI - which is certainly not the fault of the speakers. Even without the restored bass, these speakers produce a much clearer sound than the MINI stock speakers, and if you have installed good speakers in the front, the additional clarity may be enough for you.) The previous reviewer's disappointment surprises me. The origin of his problem may have been the Walkman he was using as a signal source, rather than these very nice speakers.

These are awesome speakers. I replaced my factory rear 6x9's with these because the stock just doesn't have good sound. When I pulled my stock ones out and removed these infinities from the box I was amazed on the quality. Not only are they made very well but they have great sound. The three way speakers are perfect even if you're not wanting to use an amp but using an amp the sound output from these are stupendous. I'd recommend these to anyone that wants a great speaker. I put these in a 2015 Corolla and they require a speaker adapter kit and speaker wire adapters so keep in mind you may want to go ahead and pick those up/order them at the same time so you can install immediately

They blew out within a week :(

Very disappointed. Lots of speaker reviews rated these amongst the top three for their price point. Lots of consumer reviews rated them strongly. And the build quality is very good. But I found them to be very bright and extremely ear fatiguing, even at mildly raised levels. If you are looking for a punchier, full, warm sound, look elsewhere.
