Awesome ... except at 2 am
Can’t decide between one star and five! He LOVES this toy so much I need another for when the battery needs recharging. That’s the five star part. On the other hand, he loves this toy so much he plays with it day and NIGHT when I’m trying to sleep, cries and complains when it gives out, and sits and stares at it while it’s on the charger until he can have it back! That’s the 1star part!Seriously. Buy your cat one and give it to him and you can go away while he’s playing with it and he won’t even notice.

She was afraid of this at first, but now plays with it by herself!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Purchased a pair of these several months ago, and our cat still loves playing with them. She was very timid with this at first, but now I’ll hear her suddenly playing with it by herself when we are in the other room. She’s very rough with them, so the surface fabric is showing bite marks and wear now, from heavy use, but still works perfectly. Also, I like having two of these… so we have one charging while the other is being used, then swap out when needed. I’ll throw her blanket over a fish to hide it, and she will pretend she doesn’t know where it is and will pounce on the blanket and burrow in there to find it. Great purchase!

What can you say about a floppy fish..
We have 3 cats in the house. Two tried to mess with it due to the included katnip bag inside, but were scared by the motor sound it makes when flopping. It's not too loud, but loud enough to scare two of my cats away. I knocked one star off durability due to what appears to be the cheap brush motor in the "floppy device". We'll see how long it lasts. Our 3rd cat loves the thing! Grabs it, pulls it in, bites it, etc. So far it's held up, but it's only been a couple of days. There's a zipper on the bottom that you open up to plug the USB cable into (you'll need the transformer/brick to power it up, but who doesn't have one these days?) . You can easily pull the floppy device out if you want to wash the fish. Too soon to tell if it'll hold up long term and/or the cats will gain/lose interest in the thing.

No mechanical issues, not too loud, cat loves them!
We didn't have any of the problems others have complained of with the charging system, and the charge lasts 2 to 4 days for us. It took a few days for our not usually playful cat to understand them (the catnip pouch goes too far into the fish to attract her, or maybe it wasn't a good quality, so we rubbed fresh catnip on the cover until she got the hang of playing with them).I gave the product a 4 star review due to the catnip issue, plus it would be more convenient to insert a battery rather than recharging the toy. It's kind of fiddly to get the motor in and out of the fish. Now I hear the motors several times a day, so she plays with them by herself, and when we present one to her, she always spends a couple of minutes knocking it around. The sound isn't especially loud, so maybe the cats who don't like it are easily frightened. She fell asleep with her head on the pair of them yesterday.Like 2 year old kids, cats never play with one toy for extended periods at a time, so maybe people expect too much. A few times a day or every other day is an acceptable rate -- and after 3 weeks, she's still fascinated.Added benefit: they freak out the 125 pound dog!

Two of my three cats give this toy a big paws down; third cat loves it.
Two of my cats (including my fearless Maine Coon) found this toy terrifying. The third says "whatever". I think the terrified cats find the noise it makes off-putting.I like the idea of this toy, and think it flops nicely, but the cats say no robot fish for them.Edit: Cat #3 has decided the robot fish is her new best friend. The other two still think it's terrifying.

Squirmy fish wins cats hearts
My two cats love it, they prefer it not moving as they like to lay on it and keep it away from each other. It’s funny when they bite it and it moves and then they spend 10 seconds attacking it until it stops moving again.

Can withstand a 3-4 month kitten!
Old cats were not a big fan, but the three to four month old kitten is a huge fan!! Since he hasn't managed to tear it apart that says a lot about the durability of this thing.

Pretty Fun Cat Toy.
This is a pretty good toy. My cat is a scaredy cat and was a little afraid of it. But eventually she started playing with it. Also it’s very realistic as my wife thought it was a real fish.

My cat loves it, good quality
My cat loves this toy! I wish the battery life was a bit longer on it, I feel like I recharge it a lot. But it’s Covid and I’m home all day.Anyway- cat loves it, it’s good quality. My cat even sleeps with it!

The wagging tail peice - the main feature broke constantly and then had to be re-assembled
My two cats went crazy for this product, the cat nip inside drove them crazy with happiness. The charging was perfect as it needs no batteries. My cats were able to unzip the zipper to get at the cat nip.The biggest and only problem problem with this product is the wagging tail broke apart within five minutes of my one year old cats playing with it. I had to pull the assembly out and put it back together a number of times before I just simply threw in the trash. If it wasn't for the poorly built tail mechanism it would have been perfect! It lasted one day before I had enough of putting back together in put it in the trash.A total waste of money!

Realistic looking, quality made
Item came fast and in a nice zippered plastic bag. The fish looks almost real and is fish-size, i.e. about 6 inches long. It charges with USB which is a nuisance because I have to be careful I don't lose the USB charger cord. My three cats liked it for a short time after it came out of the plastic bag and without the motor on. With motor on, they seem to be afraid of it. Seller is reliable.

My cat digs it
My cat went crazy for it for a good while and now it's every now and then (good ol' catnip). Easy to charge, you can turn it off if you don't want it randomly turning on when not being played with. The one thing that bothers me is that in the beginning there wasn't a lot of noise coming from it but now the squeaking is constant. It doesn't seem to bother Yuki.

Fish broke within the first 10 mins of puppy play. Very cheap and wouldn't recommend. Garbage.
Cheap plastic was easy for a 10 week old puppy to break. This could be so dangerous to animals as the covering is also thin and was ripped within minutes, exposing the battery pack. It was in the garbage 10 mins after giving it to a puppy. Absolute garbage. Wish there was a zero star option.
