GREAT PRICE, GREAT PERFORMANCE, A HANDY STUDIO GADGET
Does the same thing as a BBE Sonic Maximizer but for a ridiculously low price. This box can make a drab recording sound better. I use this in my recording studio on guitars and synthesizer tracks to bring out the beef without a lot of extra EQ added in. Back in 1986 I sold pallets of BBE sonic maximizers in my music store, I'm very familiar with the effect. This Behringer version is just as good for half the price, truly a bargain. Good music to all!

Could tell a difference right away!
Have been using mine for about a month or so and have had no problems. Purchased mine for use in my podcast. I run from the main outs of Mackie ProFX12 to the inputs on the Ultramizer, then out to reference monitors and a Zoom H4n. I was surprised at how much of a difference this little unit makes. Could hear it immediately. Adds a very slick, broadcast quality to the sound. It also adds a clarity that I could not get with EQ alone. I have not noticed any added noise, hum or unwanted sound. For the price you just can't go wrong. I would recommend the SU9920 to anyone shopping in the price range.

Decent addition to a rack system
Behringer produces some pretty good gear at affordable prices. I use several pieces of rack equipment made by Behringer and for the money, I am pretty satisfied with their equipment. The Sonic Ultramizer is a simple yet effective piece of gear. I recently chained an ultramizer to my rack and the difference in sound (guitar) is quite noticeable. I placed it near the end of the chain and it works well with overall signal enhancement. The only controls are high and low contour but this device really works well for putting the final touches into the mix. I run my gear as follows: Kustom 100 watt quad head through a Genz Benz 4x12 cabinet. I loop into the rack which consists of: 1.Genini power conditioner; 2.Behringer Vamp Pro preamp/modeler; 3.Behringer Virtualizer effects processor; 3.Behringer Multicom Pro compressor; 4.Behringer 15 band eq; 5.Behringer Sonic Ultramizer; 6.Behringer Multigate Pro noise gate/expander. The sound is excellent. The Kustom head is a cheaper solid state and is a bit muddy sounding but the eq and ultramizer fix that. I think Behringer discontinued this product but you may still be able to find it from a few dealers at a great price. I paid about 80 bucks for mine. The ultramizer works well in a guitar signal chain and is worth the price. I recommend placing it towards the end of the chain.

Good Sound Enhancer for the price
Not a bad little sound processor. Gives a sense of a fuller and more dynamic sound.

Rather than pro use i added this to my home stereo. It makes my studio monitors and subwoofer sound much bigger than tgey look. Great finishing touch to an already great sounding system.
