Lithonia Lighting 2 Foot LED Light Fixture, Low-Profile LED Wraparound Flush Mount Ceiling Light, 4000K Cool White, 120V, 24-Inch (FMLWL 24 840)

I bought two of these for my workshop to replace the florescent tube lights and fixtures that were already there. Very easy to install and mount. Nice and bright and good value for money.

The lights over our sink went out, they were cheap things and didn't provide much light. I found this fixture and installed it. It is bright and thats what I like, the more light the better when working at the sink. This fixture is 3000K which means it has a warm white color. This matches the other lights in the kitchen. Lithonia does make this light fixture with other lamp colors if you don't want warm white. I am very happy with this light and work perfectly for my needs!

I purchased the 24" 300K light. It is very light weight and looks great. The light color is just about perfect in warmth compared to the cold flourescent light I replaced with it. What I think you should know is how this mounts. This is perhaps my first time installing a flush mount light fixture. I replaced a 2-bulb failed flourescent light fixture of the same length in our laundry/mud room. When I removed the old fixture, I discovered they had mounted it using anchors in the drywall ceiling, and the romex wire was just coming through a hole in the drywall as well. I don't like that idea, so I installed a shallow depth 4" round electrical box to contain the wiring and wire connections. I used the screws that came with that box to mount the new light fixture. This is where it got interesting. The romex wire coming through the ceiling was stapled right to a stud there so I cut out the drywall to fit the 4" box and aligned the box mounting holes along the centerline of the ceiling stud. But, when I mounted the light, it was crooked on the ceiling because it is made to install onto the screws, then twist so the pan head screws hold the fixture and you then tighten the screws down. Trying to get the electrical box aligned so that the light fixture would be mounted straight on the ceiling after that twist action was quite a feat, one I wouldn't like to repeat. That's not the fault of the light fixture but I'm not sure how you could mount it straight if your existing electrical box screw holes aren't aligned the way this fixture is designed. Hope that makes sense. Outside that nasty adventure, this light looks fantastic! It is bright, warm and best of all, dead silent.

Over all I would say this is a nice bright light. Its not to difficult to install. I installed this over my mother's kitchen sink. The light is a little to bright for that area in my opinion. In some of the reviews people love it over the kitchen sink. My mom already had a ceiling light in the kitchen so we didn't really need something this bright. It all comes down to your taste in the amount of light you prefer over a sink.

I had a fluorescent light in the pantry that switched on when the door was opened. It worked ok, but the tube would go out every 6 months or so. I replaced the fluorescent fixture with this LED fixture. This LED fixture is much brighter, it looks great, and no more tubes to dispose.

Bought this to replace a fluorescent fixture. I didn't have a junction box, just hanging wires. This mounts to the ceiling with screw holes which was perfect. Love the light. It's over the sink and provides plenty of light. Not too bright, and no flickering. Perfectly happy with the light fixture.

My favorite type of light like this. Easy to install and is very bright.

There is one long single strip of LED inside the light fixture. I haven't mounted it yet but it looks easy enough to do. I took one star off because the original light fixture box arrived opened. The light inside had been pulled out of the box before and just shoved back in. One end was dusty inside. It shouldn't affect how it functions but it's disappointing that I paid for a new item and expected it be new, unhandled and unopened. This has happened to me quite frequent lately on Amazon orders. Products arrived with original packaging opened and hastily put back together, a couple time with small items inside the box missing. I hope this is not going to be the norm.
