I didn’t want one language to suffer. I was so glad to see when reading this book in (my albeit rudimentary) Spanish that it had a rhythm and rhyme scheme that echoed the one in English. It was fun and easy to memorize just like the English (and my teen was pleased to see that he could still recite the book from memory making it easier for him to read it to his cousin). Must have for new babies in the family!
Love it! This was one of my son’s favorite books when he was little, so when buying books for my new nephew, I had to include it. They’re a bilingual household so I wanted to get him some books in both languages, but finding bilingual books that keep the rhythm and/or rhyme scheme in both languages is incredibly difficult. Best way to teach immigrants and their kids English!
Best way to teach immigrants and their kids English! My wife is the President of a women's educator group here in San Diego, California. They donate bilingual books to the families of immigrants. The reactions are very heartwarming. The kids and the parents learn English together. These people are very grateful and they will truly make America great in the future, just as the Irish, Italians, Greek, Polish, etc., etc., etc. did the past.

Classic childrens book
I got this as a gift for a friends baby shower. I remember I really enjoyed reading this book when I was a child and hope she will to. This copy is a lot smaller than the one I use to read, but I guess that's best for a child's small hands.

Wonderful way to introduce animals to kids
The book could have been little more interesting and seems to finish in a jiffy but introduces types of animals in figment of imagination colors!!!
