Is the silicone bottom safe to still use these as double boiler to melt chocolate. Like put this bown into a pan of boiling water?

I put one through the dishwasher, which came out fine, so it can probably survive the heat. But the rubber is quite thick and is an insulator, so I don't think you'd get good heat transfer into the chocolate. Wouldn't advise it

Yes I like the set of stainless steel bowls the largest bowl I use the most which the middle insert of the lid comes off so you can use a hand blender and get no splashes,the lids are a bit flimsy and curl a bit but for the price I’d say very useful
