I am Picky & Blunt! BEST BED EVER!!
Like the headline? I say it the way it is good or bad!! Ok..Once upon a time I sold furniture and beds...I have had the privilege of trying them all! From Serta, Temporpedic, Nectar, hybrids, foams and innerspring mattresses? I have tried them all! Having been in a bad car accident 5 years ago I have a bad back, neck and have had shoulder surgery and need two knee replacements, so to find comfort in a bed? Is tough! Ok...here is the lowdown....The Nextar and Temporpedic make rolling over an exhausting chore! Like trying to get out of a soggy marshmallow! Simmons and Serta make great beds but they are not cheap and the springs can get "racked" if they get dropped on a corner or something. Hybrids are ok...but rarly have edge guards so you (yep!) can inadvertently, roll off! Plus you can feel the springs sometimes through the gel layer. The resort elite? PERFECT!! NO ODOR AT ALL! (Wonderful when you have asthma)...plumped out to 10 inches in less than 10 minutes! Now...let me describe the comfort to you..like all foam mattresses it has that "dead* feel in that you don't have the springy bounce an inner spring has.....but this bed? Unlike the Nextar and temporpedic? Rolling over is easy and you don't feel like you are being swallowed up. You sink in just enough to cup your curves...your butt cheeks, small of your back are all enveloped in what I can best describe as "like firm jello". You stay on top but are gently supported!! Love it so much, that when I move (hopefully to a bigger place than the sardine can I'm in now? I will use this twin mattress as a daybed in the spare bedroom and get a queen!! Awesome bed and the price is fantastic for what you get! It rivals a more expensive foam mattress any day!! Frankly? It's way better!!! If it wasn't?? You would get that review too. Don't hesitate!! Get the firm resort elite today!! Sleep well and pleasant dreams!! :)

I’ve felt firmer marshmallows than this mattress. I’ve purchased 20 or more memory foam mattresses over the past 10 years and this is by far the worst.. Mattress didn’t come close to 10” and when you sit on the edge of the bed it crushes to 3” or the width of $1 bill. The firmest thing about it is the feeling from the box spring under it!!

Not too soft, not too firm...it's juuuuust right!
I don't usually review products, but I feel compelled to let everyone know how amazing this mattress is. It's not an exaggeration to say that I spent a few hours a day for several days on Amazon researching different mattresses. I felt like a real life Goldilocks. The goal was to find something that was comfortable for both me (a stomach sleeper) and my partner (a back sleeper), and firm enough to support my lower back. I have chronic back pain from a series of injuries, and after 15+ years of sleeping on extra soft beds...let's just say, my back was a wreck, and my sleep quality was in the toilet. I didn't remember the last time I slept through the night in my own bed, without waking up in pain every couple of hours.Earlier this year, I had really good luck with a full-size mattress purchased on Amazon when I was furnishing a guest room, so I didn't have reservations about buying a mattress I hadn't tested in person first. It was so comfortable that I often opted to sleep in the guest bed on nights when my back was giving me too much trouble. So, I naturally gravitated toward that company first when looking for a king-sized mattress. Their offerings were well-reviewed, but they were also a good deal outside of the price range I was hoping for. So, I kept looking.Enter Resort Sleep.I found the firmness guide in the photos of their mattresses to be very helpful in narrowing my selection. On their spectrum (rated Cloud--Fluffy--Balanced--Sand--Rock), I knew I needed something that was on the firm side of balanced, and that's exactly what this mattress is. I also felt good about the Certi-PUR rating of this mattress. While an organic, 100% sustainable mattress would have been ideal, it just wasn't in the budget this time. Certi-PUR is, in my opinion, the next best thing. According to the Certi-PUR website, this rating means:✓ Made without ozone depleters✓ Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants✓ Made without mercury, lead, and other heavy metals✓ Made without formaldehyde✓ Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission✓ Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)What finally made me decide on this particular mattress was the price. I honestly had to do a double take when I saw it listed at $359. It seemed like it might be too good to be true. But, given the overall positive reviews, I was willing to take a chance. So glad I did! When the mattress arrived, we followed the instructions for unwrapping, which was a breeze. We gave it a couple of days to set up, and it did. As it puffed up, we noticed a couple of snags on the upper lining. That was a little bit of a bummer, but a simple mattress pad covers it up just fine. Besides, the snags were easily overlooked once we finally laid on the mattress. It was glorious! The perfect balance of firm and soft. The first night we slept on it, I didn't wake up once--very unusual for someone who typically wakes up several times a night. And, most importantly, no pain! My back feels a hundred times better after sleeping on this mattress. The whole family (man, woman, two dogs) has plenty of room to spread out and sleep comfortably. I can't believe how good this mattress feels. No joke, it is only day 4, and I am finding myself daydreaming at work about how good it will feel to climb into bed. I cannot recommend this mattress highly enough.tl;dr: 5/5 stars for comfort. 5/5 stars for the price.

Offers no support - soggy
My wife and I recently purchased a Tuft & Needle king mattress. She absolutely loved it but it was just a bit too soft for my back. We decided to make a new king mattress the old-fashion way, from two twin-xl mattresses. She went with another T&N while I decided to try this Live & Sleep since it indicated it was medium-firm.Big mistake! The top foam layer may be medium-firm but the base support layer is weak and soggy. It offers almost no support structure at all, I feel as if I'm sleeping in a marshmallow and I wake with my entire spine hurting. Wife and I decided to try switching sides and this mattress was too soft even for her. To top it off it is even about 2" shorter than a standard twin-XL.On the plus side the fabric is nice and the mattress looks good. Now I just hope L&S and Amazon honor their advertised 75 night sleep trial.
