This condiment is sweet/sour and is an ideal addition for a dish that is very creamy and rich. You don't need much to elevate a ho-hum side.

They won't break in shipment and they are delicious
They weren't playing with their wrapping for shipment. I bought 2 jars and they were individually wrapped in that big bubble wrap and taped. If the delivery drivers kicked the boxes the entire way to your front door...these bottles would be in perfect condition. I bought these for sourdough bread inclusions and they didn't disappoint. SO flavorful. DELICIOUS

This has an incredible sweet and savory flavor that takes dishes like lasagna and burgers to the next level. I could easily see it working on hot dogs, sandwiches, or other meat dishes too.Pros:✅ Rich, Balanced Flavor – Sweet caramelized onions with a savory kick✅ Versatile – Works well with pasta, burgers, meats, and more✅ High Quality – Great texture and depthCons:❌ Pricey – Amazing taste, but it hits the wallet hardFinal Thoughts:If you’re looking to elevate savory dishes with a gourmet twist, this onion jam is a flavor bomb worth trying. Tastes like sweet caramelized onions with a hint of acidity at the end.
I got this to put on some patty melts and it was wonderful on them.On it's own the onion jam tastes just like the caramelized onions I make at home, but there's this little hit of acidity (from the ascorbic acid) that hits right at the end, but it doesn't get in the way of the caramelized onion flavor. However the acidity flavor is there and I was worried it would ruin the flavor of the patty melt, but it didn't.I like to put ketchup on my patty melts (I know, the horror, right?) and I noticed that the ketchup cut the acidic taste quite a bit, almost to the point where I didn't notice the ascorbic acid taste (first bite), so that was nice.I was able to enjoy the patty melt and I got used to the ascorbic acid flavor quickly and soon didn't notice it anymore.I would like to make some French onion soup with this onion jam or perhaps a grilled cheese with the onion jam in the middle...both sound really good. The flavor is pretty concentrated, so I found that I used less of this onion jam than I usually do of the caramelized onions I make at home, so that's a plus.Would I buy this again?Sure, as long as it stays under $9.Making caramelized onions is a pain in the butt and takes a long time to do it the right way.I usually don't take them this far (jam stage), choosing to stop cooking them when they are still recognizable as onions. I am always afraid I will burn them, plus taking them to the jam stage takes about an hour.Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope it was helpful.

Excellent
I have bought this multiple times, and my husband and I love it. It's terrific for making a flatbread pizza with some goat cheese or brie and something salty like ham or proscuitto. It is surprisingly sweet, so having something salty with it balances it. It's also really hard to find onion jam in stores, so I'm glad that Amazon carries it. Just be aware that it is a fairly small jar. It does feel a little too expensive for everyday, but it makes a great stocking stuffer or gift for foodie friends. I definitely recommend it.
