Henry VIII & Anne Boleyn -The Lovers Who Changed History (as seen on Channel 5) Presented by Suzannah Lipscomb [DVD]

I have watched most of the movies on Anne & Henry, and enjoyed this version quite a lot for it’s realism. The actress who portrayed Anne was just how I would picture her, and the actor playing Henry was excellent, too. It would be nice to see a full movie with them, together rather than just a documentary but it was very enjoyable.

I also bought Philippa Gregory's 'The Real White Queen' , but haven't watched either of the DVD's as yet. They arrived on time and as per the schedule. I have read all of Philippa's books, and if her DVD is as good as them, I'm in for a very interesting evening. Henry VIII always brings interest to even those uninterested in our history, and Suzanna Lipscombe is a very good presenter, so I'm looking forward to watching this DVD as well.Both will form part of my permanent library , and no doubt will be watched more than once.

Sehr sehenswert! Durch die in der vatikanischen Bibliothek aufgetauchten Liebesbriefe zwischen Heinrich, dem VIII und Anne Boleyn erhält man völlig neue Einblicke in das Geschehen. Leider nicht auf Deutsch erhältlich. Für den, der gut Englisch versteht und sich für die Geschichte interessiert, wunderbar.
