How do you use the hooks? There were no instructions.

It comes with unique hardware that custom slides into the hooks on the backside of the letters. I slid the hardware (a piece of plastic with sharp nails attached) into the hooks on the back of each letter and used painters tape to keep them in place, then put a level on top of the letter, and held it up to my wall where I wanted it, made sure it was leveled, then tapped it into the wall by hand so tiny marks were made on the wall. Then I just used a rubber hammer (so as not to break the plastic) to hammer the nail/plastic hardware into the wall where the marks were made and was able to hang the letters on my perfectly placed and perfectly level hardware in the wall. The letter are light so it stays in sheet rock by itself just fine. I did use a command strip to hang the wreath though

can this be converted to freestanding?

Possibly, you could prop it up against something. It’s made from a foam like material so it may be tricky.

I received the h m and e but no wreath. Does the wreath mail separately ?

So pretty, really good size, it's light weight, I used double sided tape bond to hang! Worked well! Bought on Amazon as well! Good stuff! Saves walls from holes. But, yes this is a great decoration, really transformed my living room!

This is a beautiful home addition and easy set up. It came with some tools that I found to be honestly unnecessary as I have some picture hanging thumbtacks that I used to just poke right in the wall and hang them up within a few seconds. Easy Peezy!
