Best Speakers I've Ever Had!!!
I gave this a five star rating because the sound is crystal clear and the bass hits so hard that action movie explosions can be felt in my stomach at 3/4 max bass and 40+ volume (will explain later). Ran these through my Sony DN840 receiver, for what that's worth. I'm no audiophile, just go for what has the best ratings for the price. Down to business. On a volume scale of 1-60 at 3/4 bass through the DN840 (may have to scale, depending on your volume capacities):1: mute10: lowest comfortable listening level in a quiet room25: average listening:50: will sound like you're in a movie theater.60: you will unintentionally jump at every loud noise in a scary movie. Could possibly damage hearing over time. They get louder, but I've not dared to test the integrity of my ear drums. Even at 60 there was no distortion in the sound. The bass is incredible even at 1/2 max volume, controlled by a knob on the back of the bass enclosure. At 3/4 bass we're talking solid vibration in the floor, couches and anyone resting on either. Perfect for suspenseful effect. Any higher and it just gets ridiculous. I don't need my ears to vibrate when something explodes on screen. The finish is a beautiful black piano gloss for the speakers and a slightly flatter-toned black bass enclosure. All speakers were packaged in a felt type of cloth to prevent scratches. They arrived flawless. The speaker cover is a soft satiny material, though caressing the speakers randomly may appear a bit odd to visitors. Best get it out of the way while installing and leave them alone ;). These puppies were solid! They have enough weight to feel very high quality but still light enough to not burden a properly installed mounting bracket. Installation was a cinch. Instructions weren't needed, but were included for those less versed in audio set up. Positive out to positive in, negative out to negative in. It was more difficult figuring out the mounting plates, AM-20 Pinpoint Mounts (sold separately), to get them into the ceiling.Overall, I love the speakers and enjoy every moment of audio that comes from my tv now. The sound envelops the listener and pulls them into the artistic experience of movies and music. If there is a better listening experience out there, it's really not necessary if you have the Polk Audio TL1600 Speaker System paired with a decent receiver.

These speakers sound much larger than they are and are a full sounding speaker system.
I originally had a Klipsch 2.1 Promedia THX system and they were very loud with their built in power but they were shouty and harsh in the treble which was irritating to listen to for long so I wanted something better sounding that was more enjoyable to listen to. I upgraded to the Yamaha NS-SP1800 system but while not harsh and irritating sounding like the Klipsch, they were thin sounding as the Klipsch and not as full sounding as a bigger speaker mostly likely due to their small woofer size, I thought. They also had a hard time getting loud and had a sound pressure level of only 82 db at 1 Meter with 2.83 volts. That seems accurate. Then I was given the Polk TL1600 package as a Christmas gift. The Polk TL1600 subwoofer with the TL150 speaker package sounded awesome, WOW was my first thought! They had a full sounding midrange, not thin sounding at all, and cranked out some volume! They really matched well with the TL1600 subwoofer, right next to them, making them sound as one. They are a very natural sounding speaker. Actually they sounded much better than Polk’s bigger T15 bookshelf speakers which I was disappointed with. Those T15 speakers are an inexpensive budget speaker though. I'm driving these speakers with a Denon AVR-3803 receiver which has a great amp section. I drove the Yamaha speakers with this receiver as well, and used the Denon's headphone output for the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers. The TL1600 (TL1) speakers sound great, as good as my Infinity Reference RS1 bookshelf speakers in my main system. After putting the Polk TL1 speakers on top of the entertainment center, I noticed that their imaging and soundstage was very good and equaled my larger Infinity Reference RS1 bookshelf speakers on my main home theater system. The Infinity speakers are louder than the Polk TL1 (main satellite speakers) but they have a 5-1/4" woofer so I would except that much. I judged the Polk TL1s to have a real sensitivity of around 85 or 86 db at 1 meter with 2.83 volts. Polk rates them at 89 db but they are not that loud. The TL1 Center speaker is about 89 decibels but it has two 2-1/2" woofer opposed to the TL1 satellite speaker's one 2-1/2" woofer. The Polk TL1 satellite and center speakers are very detailed and very natural sounding especially in the midrange, yet not bright and harsh sounding like many other high end speakers that push their treble to hard. I can say they don't sound muddy at all like the Yamahas could and even Definitive Technology speakers do.The TL1600 subwoofer had a lot more hookup and adjustment features than the Yamaha. The TL1600 can be compatible with just about any system that the Yamaha couldn’t be. Also the TL1600 lacked the boominess of the Yamaha YST-SW012 subwoofer and was much more musical meaning it’s bass notes were more articulate where they weren’t muddled together. The TL1600 subwoofer didn’t go any lower in frequency than the Yamaha YST-SW012 subwoofer but gave the impression it did as mid to lower bass was easier to hear as it wasn’t overshadowed by high bass.*I EDITED* the review as I changed the placement of the speakers and have been really listening to them for over a week. The more I listen, the more impressed I get with these tiny speakers.

Good product
Everything is perfect but initially subwoofer didn't work later after 30 mins started working and woofer should be 10inches this is very small beyond medium volume the woofer capacity goes at maximum hence 10 inch woofer is suitable for this package and the av receiver is very much capable of delivering cinematic experience

Exelente
