I needed this for my sand bags. The wind in my area is fierce. I had one thing go flying and I never found it. The sandbags keep everything anchored down. Why can’t I get more bags from this company?

I though I bough safe sand until I felt nose and lung irritation after playing with my son. I did a little more reading and the sand has silica. I use silica at work and I know we need breathing protection to prevent silicosis, a well know carcinogen in my industry. According to the SDS (safety datasheet) of the product in the manufacturer website it has a category 3 hazard for single exposure and category 1 for repeat exposure. After experimenting with the proper breathing protecting the sand has lots of dust and it will be hard for my kid to play with it without inhaling the dust, with silica. This should be part of the labeling and on the amazon product information. Specially since I felt the irritation right away.

The sand is soft and pure. It’s a little expensive. You can get it for about $10 cheaper at Walmart. But it does the job. We use it in our 2 year olds sand and water sensory table. My mother in law came over a few days ago and we made her an ashtray with the sand. Worked for that too. Kept her and her nasty smoke smell outside where they belong!
