Buy cheap, buy twice
As the review title suggests, I had to buy twice - second time a genuine Bosch blade.I would have returned the blade, but sadly I didn't open the package until 6-weeks after receiving and a return was refused despite the blade being poor.The blade itself cost a third less than a Bosch replacement, but it is only a third as good.Hopefully from the pictures you can see (this blade is the bottom one in the picture) the cutting edge is not as long - the original Bosch blade that came with the machine I have sharpened a few times.Also, both blades have a geometric twist - this blade is ridiculously slight so it doesn't properly attack what you are trying shred as it isn't proud of the drive plate. The old Bosch blade even though re edged by sharpening is still more proud than this blade and out performed this blade.Sharpness - non existent.In summary, reduced cutting edges, badly angled, no sharpness and cheap steel = worse than useless. By worse than useless I mean that this will put undue strain on your machine and ultimately lead to a reduction in its serviceable life.Bought a brand new Bosch blade - absolutely perfect.Once again, buy cheap, buy twice (and quite possibly have to buy a new shredder sooner than you need to).

Excellent product
The blade arrived very quickly and is of good quality. Really pleased with purchase.

Didn't last long
Unfortunately the blade did not last very long, shredded 2 bags of hedge clippings and needed to change over to other side to carry on. Not sure what metal it is but soon dulls!

Better than average replacement
This blade seems to hold its edge better than some I've brought in the past, but like all of them these days, as soon as you start cutting woody stems the edge seems to go and you mangle or mash rather than cut.I'm careful not to put large stems, maximum size is about 8mm, but the edge still seems to go. The original blade supplied with the shedder lasted much longer, but this one is definitely better than some of the cheaper ones purchase in the pastIt’s almost as though the case hardening isn’t complete.

Not as effective
Looks very similar to the old blade but doesn't seem to shred as well. Tried it on budhelia which was a bit green. May work better on older stems.
