Guide Gear Oversized Tall Director's Camp Chair, 500-lb. Capacity

I bought this chair for my husband who is a big guy and has trouble getting out of any chair. This sits higher, is reinforced with additional support, and has arms that he can push up from to stand up. It is wide enough to be comfortable and even has a tray. Excellent price and product! The only drawback was figuring out how to open and close it. It is a bit stiff. But he likes it since he can take it everywhere and he is assured he has a chair to comfortably hold him.

This chair is great! It seems very strong and sturdy. It's a bit heavy to be lugging around places, but for a big and tall chair it's not too bad. The side table seems a little weak. I don't know how long it will last. But it sits tall enough that it's easy to get in and out of. I have knee problems so sitting in a lower camping chair is impossible to get out of without help. This chair makes it very easy. It's worth the money.

Let me tell you I have been trying to find a decent portable chair for a long time. I am short (5'3") and large. Most chairs are too deep so I don't reach the back of the chair. This is also true in this one, but I can get back far enough. When I first sat in this chair the X bars in front hit my legs strange. I sat in it for an afternoon and using a pillow felt quite comfortable. Standing from a low chair causes tears in the tendons of my thighs. This chair is a good height. I can take it with me when we travel as chairs in most places are just too low. It is a strong sturdy well made chair.

This chair seems very well built. I am 6'3 and this chair is very easy to get in and out if. It is a bit tough to open and close, but not enough to remove a star, in my opinion.

Very sturdy chair looks to be designed for big people -- which I'm not. Seat is VERY wide and legs are very stout making the chair a bit heavier than I prefer. But the comfort and (hopefully) durability make it tolerable.

Love this camping chair - finally have a chair I'm not worried about collapsing. I'm 6'8" and about 310 pounds after losing 90 pounds but gaining a BTK prosthesis on right leg. This chair is taller (could be taller for me) than most camp chairs and is robust to hold my weight AND IS STURDY TO ASSIST IN STANDING UP. I use both arms to get stood up and the padded arm rails are a welcome feature. Thank you for this chair.
