Here is my little 'summary':Daxesh Robert Jones might have a problem with trust, and when his mentor revealed a device in his brain, he has to bond with Spencer. And now, when he and his cola friends are in danger of betrayal, he will take to the water and discover that one of his most loved ones commits suicide on an oil rig, or is he just loosing resistance to glamour?

Both my son and I are completely hooked on this book series by Ali Sparkes. The whole series is FANTASTIC. We are now on the last book and are very sad that the Shapeshifter series is now at an end :( These books are so well written. My son, who is now 12, relates to the characters, but I have to say has done from the start and he was only 10 when we started reading the series. The writing content is not beyond the years of the reader, but still expands vocabulary. The plots are absolutely fantastic. Why the rights for this series have not been snapped up by TV or film makers is beyond me. The CGI technology now exists for a character to morph as Dax does. Beats Harry Potter any day of the week. PLEASE can Ali write some more....... I cannot rate the books highly enough. You will not be disappointed - do try to read them in the correct order though, it makes such a difference.

Loved reading the first Shapeshifter book that 'Ali Sparkes' did, so I went and bought the other 4 books, but after reading the final chapters of the 5 instalment of Dax and his fellow Cola's I've was left in tears with what happens but then I became happy and over joyed But that was replaced by the fact that the series is over and now I've got nothing to read. Ali Sparkes, you could possible be one of the best authors that I've ever had the pleaser to read a book by.So if you lie books that have 'Adventure, drama, mystery, and tear juckering moments. Then Shapeshifter is the book series for you.But be warned, once you start reading you won't be able to stop, and you might want to have some tissues ready for the end book.

My 11 year old son has loved this series of books! It started with a random book purchase of the first in the series and we've had to buy all 6 which he has loved.
