Genuine N95 facemask with a good seal
I was given one of these masks by a relative who works in a hospital. These were the masks they used in their department. I wore it for 12 hours while flying home. It looks a little strange - someone said it looked like a popcorn bag - but it was very comfortable and very easy to fit to a variety of face shapes (beards etc). The straps are delicate though - so if you're taking it on and off regularly (or have long hair like me) you have to be careful or they will break - it is supposed to be a disposable mask. If you need to remove it a lot you might want to try a different style. It has a metal rib on the nose and also under the chin, which means you can really form it to fit the contours of your face - and if it's not fitting tightly you can pinch or twist the rib below your chin to make it as tight as you need. This mask also has 2 plastic ribs spaced in between the metal ones that you can also bend to keep the mask away from your mouth - which has been a real problem for me. It makes speaking and being understood so much easier. Tip - When you open one of the masks there seems to be a little bit of glue for the first half inch of strap that "sticks" the strap to the surface of the mask. My relative carefully pulled the strap ends away from the surface which definitely helps make a tighter seal although it may make the straps more fragile. This is still the best mask I've found that's comfortable to wear all day and protects me as well as everyone else. I was able to compare the genuine mask I was given with the ones I bought here and they are identical - so they do seem legit. The box I received seems to be free of defects so far - if that changes I'll update my post.

Not Sexy, Gets The Job Done
These are good N-95 masks that form a good seal around the mouth and nose. The consensus of those I've asked is that they do NOT look good while being worn, so if that matters to you, look elsewhere. They can be uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time due to the tension caused by the two rubber bands. The rubber bands are stapled to the mask and can tolerate about 3-5 uses before the rubber band breaks behind the staple rendering the mask useless. Personally, I like them in spite of this and have purchased this product several times. I have confidence in the materials and design to protest me against airborne contaminants

best seal and most comfortable texture/material
What others say about the straps is true. You have to be careful and gentle, so they don't snap off. The best way to put them on is to shape the mask to your face, and then gently pull the straps over your head. After trying some white KN 95 masks, this one is the preferred mask by assistants and doctor. The material against your mouth and nose is very smooth and and does not fray when speaking or breathing. It feels good against your mouth. The thick and heavy material of the KN 95 masks feels suffocating. We get a very good seal with the wire around the nose and under the chin. We wear it under another procedure mask to prolong the use. For me, it's comfort and breathability, while having a really secure seal, that is important. We staple the straps, if we have to, but we make them last.

Not the same
Aside from the glorified 3m brand, the alphapro n95 were also stocked by the us health systems prepandemic and they were equally efficacious in filtering airbourne particles. It is because of this, i ordered these masks. They were cheaper. But frankly speaking, the quality, texture, and facial seal do not feel the same as the ones ive been wearing before in the hospitals. Its unlikely amazon will endorse products that are falsely advertised. I would have to take their word for it. The sellers did mention that they were authentic alphapro masks that are niosh certified. So hopefully they are. Thank you amazon

Straps break easily
These are easy to talk through but the straps broke easily making it hard to use for a whole work day.

Comfortable N95 mask though that is an oxymoron
Overall a decent N95 mask. A bit funny looking (my staff jokes I look like I'm wearing a pajama mask). In the beginning, a little tricky getting the hang of the seal yet now that I have worn at least 7 masks I feel pretty comfortable conforming it to my face correctly. Because of the design it is more adjustable then the 3M masks and I do find them more comfortable overall yet after about 2-3 hours I absolutely need to take it off to give my skin a breather. Thankfully I'm only in a clinic and not an inpatient unit or I wouldn't have that luxury. The masks are expensive ($5 a piece before tax), yet that is the market right now. I trust them much more then the K95 masks. They do appear to be American made, though the packaging is a little vague on that point.

comfortable but elastic not reliable
I find the style of this N95 very comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, the elastic is flimsier than most others, so much so that the lower strap broke on me in the first three masks I wore at the first adjustment of the strap after about 30 minutes wear. I have not bothered with this mask since the third failing. I am keeping the remainder for "last option" wearing in the event I run out of any others.

Perfectly adequate 3 ply masks
I first bought these in 2006 during the bird flu scare but didn't use them and bought another box recently, They say they are N95, and the new box is identical to the 15 year old one. I find the criticisms on this page strange as the masks are well fitting and secure. Yes the elastic bands are delicate but will hold together only for several wearings. I hang them up every day and age them for 3 days, then a safety pin may be necessary to secure a band. I have worn these the entire pandemic and haven't caught covid yet!
