Unbelievable! Truly awesome!
This "game" is absolutely crazy. Where to begin... Xbox 360 kinect was the only system missing from our household, and we've been adding and keeping systems since the 80's! We held back on this system because we wanted our daughter to be responsible for it and the games. I did a ton of research... Talked to more than a dozen "serious gamers"... my biggest question was, " what is the best game out there for kinect for kids and adults"?... Top answer was of course, the Michael Jackson experience. Our daughter is almost 9 and we are in our late 30's... I was worried it would be too hard for her and that we would be unimpressed, especially considering I saw him live and on the thriller tour and took choreography/dance pretty seriously for years... WRONG! This game has it all, I purchased 7 games that were all recommended and reviewed very highly to unveil this holiday with the 250 kinect system and this is hands down our favorite. The song bank is kick ass, and the dancing is crazy... All the moves are in it!!! A big range in skill level for sure! The one big heads up, I really don't think there is an easy mode of play on this one. You've got to have some skills or develop them fast and try hard. The game is remarkably well designed, accurate, nostalgic and really just super impressive!!! Also, you would probably want to have younger kids or Tweens try an easier game first if they are not used to the kinect system, just to get acclimated to controlling it. Seriously, we love this amazing game!!! PS... I think this game is truly made for kinect I don't think we would love it this much on a different system.

Totally Awesome game!
Short and to the point, great game love it this game is a work out but it is fun. Its the music you grow up on .fun game. you need to get this game.My little boy loves this game & he is 9 year old its for all ages to play. There are no bugs to work out, you can play any song straight from the get go. no leveling up just for a favorite like Dance Central. This game has Dance mode, Sing mode and performance mode which is dancing and singing. SO much FUN. Dance central does NOT track as well as this game. Not all the games have all the modes simply due to the fact that some of the songs were not made to be danced to solo. We truly enjoyed it.Pro's;1. MJ Music2. Mj Dance moves3. MJ video backgrounds4. Great movement tracking.5. Microphone is very sensitive and can hear even a soft voiced singer.6. Great workout, especially in Beat IT.Cons; Can,t think of any if your an MJ fan

Good but not Great
I pre-ordered this game almost as soon as we got our Kinect. Our family's favorite game is Dance Central and we absolutely love Michael Jackson. It is a lot of fun, but if they had learned from the programming in Dance Central it could have been so much better. The avatars are hard to see and follow - the dance moves in the bottom of the screen are often not easy to identify in advance. The result is we always feel a 1/2 a step behind. It's fun to have the themes and atmosphere of the videos.Overall - it's a lot of family fun but won't replace Dance Central as our primary family game.

Major disappointment, at least the music is great (updated 4/17/11 and increased rating after comparing PS3 version)
I held off on the Wii version to get this for the Kinect. Major disappointment. I'm a Dance Central fan and couldn't wait for this game to come out.I got release day delivery, and practically raced home from work eager to try out the MJ game. First song I picked was Smooth Criminal....the dancing was so-so, but I thought- surely it must be because I'm doing it on the easiest level....replayed the song in Performance mode....same moves, now singing was added to the mix. Not the Michael Jackson workout I'd hoped for....Pros:All your favorite songsGreat stages (this is one area where I'm glad I got the Kinect version)Really hard to get a dance move wrongthe kinect captures your movements and clothing to reflect it on your on-screen liquid avatar (think Your Shape in true color)Cons:Hardly any dancingHardly any dancingWhere's the dancing?Dancing?Did they forget to add dancing?Oh, and you can't turn off the singing modeIf you're hoping for an exercise/dance game, then this is going to disappoint. If you're looking for some relaxed, karaoke night, beer drinking game play-- then this might fit the bill.***Update 4-17-11****Giving Kinect and extra star******I went out and bought the PS3 version and gained a different reference point to review the Kinect version. The PS3 version is great for a workout, not as fun or natural as Dance Central on Kinect...or even as MJ Experience Kinect, but it's definitely a workout. Seeing the leg work on the PS3 version (which only tracks your right hand), if they had replicated this on the Kinect version, 90% of players would've been alienated because most of us are incapable of even [remotely] replicating the King of Pop's dance moves...much less for an hour or two of gameplay. To keep the Kinect version family-friendly and all-ages friendly, I imagine that the lengthy pauses and poses throughout the songs are to give novice users a chance to catch their breath and to gain some easy points so they don't feel completely defeated on every song. The MJ Experience for Kinect is still NOT a good 'workout' game, but it's a slower, fun game that you can play with the family. By that same token, that's what levels are for-- give the majority of us the simpler dance moves- and make an 'Impossible' level for those that have mastered MJ's dancing. In summary:Kinect Version:*Some of the songs are all singing and no dancing*The dancing is ok, but for the most part is slower, and there are a LOT of pauses between dancing and poses that you have to hold for 5 seconds- so don't plan on getting your heart rate up*Much more natural feeling than the Wii and PS3 versions*The stages and backgrounds blow the PS3 version's away (it would be nice to be able to switch your on-screen avatar to your Xbox avatar, but if you're trying to learn how to master the moves correctly, then it is helpful to have your 'liquid reflection' on the stage)*You can't turn the singing off, and if you live in an apartment and don't feel like embarrassing yourself in front of the neighbors, then don't plan on getting a decent singing score (or achievements)*If they had 'dumbed down' MJ's dance moves to match more closely with the Dance Central experience, most of us MJ fans would've been in an uproar and the game couldn't be called the MJ Experience...PS3 Version:*You'll get your heart rate up*You can pretty much suck at the leg work as long as you have your arm in the right place at the right time*Fun, engaging, you get to be MJ's backup dancer*Much more dancing, less singing, this could definitely be a workout game contender*You'll get tired of the remote in your hand and wish you were playing the Kinect againAll in all, if you want exercise-- get the Wii or PS3 version. If you want some slower fun, want to master some difficult dance moves with more precision, want a beer-drinking karaoke/dance game, or enjoy the Kinect and all it can do-- then go for this version. If you're looking to add an exercise routine to your game mix-- then opt for the Wii or PS3 versions.

Better than WII, but Harder than WII....FUN IF YOU LIKE DANCING !
I played this on WII first then I went and bought it for my XBOX 360. The thing is on WII it only track th controller so you can cheat. ON Kinect it tracks a hand or teo and your foot. With that being said you almost have to do the dances just as Michael, with that being said it makes the game some what difficult. The game does have step by step tutorials for all of the songs which cover all of the moves.....in the end it a fun fun game, just not easy !

What a great dancing/performance/singing CD for Kinect! A real treasure for all Michael Jackson fans, it includes over 15 most popular MJ songs. We especially loved the atmosphere of every song that totally involves you into the performance show. You just feel like the mega star performing in the front of a huge crowd of fans!Highly recommended to every person who ever liked songs by Michael Jackson.
