The author has written a must read book for everyone ..first for the Christian believer in God to rejoice in how the Almighty has used great people to turn the events of the world in a positive way both for the followers of God and for the betterment of mankind.Secondly for the doubters and nay-sayers who think little of the concept of God, the author shows how people of faith and courage were most definitely used by the Almighty in the important events of the world.This is an education all, young and old, can and should profit from.

This book starts with people before Christ and continues through the 1990’s describing God’s documented intervention in the lives of famous people and regular people. What a joy to read of saints, generals, missionaries and three year old girls touched by the saving, providing hand of God!

Wonderful uplifting stories of history

I received a copy of this incredible book many years ago when I was actively homeschooling my children. This book went with our family to Africa where we worked as missionaries. We had precious little luggage space, and I would not have thought to go without it. When a war broke out three years later and I could only take one suitcase out of the country, again this marvelous book made the cut. Out of Africa it came. We have used it to suppliment our History lessons through the years. Richard Wheeler has done a fabulous job of taking the reader through history and sharing testimonies of how God intervened in human history throughout the ages. The stories he has compiled are incredible. They leave you with hope and faith that this beautiful God loves us and cares for us and intervenes and responds to our cries. The section dedicated to WW2 is certainly one of my favorite sections, reading how God responded to the prayers of his children to stop Hitler. Don’t think twice about purchasing this book. Get it! You will be strengthened and encouraged and left in awe!
