The Art of Halo Infinite

This was a disappointing book to finally get my hands on. There is just so much of this book dedicated to irrelevant nonsense that I find frustrating as a fan who spent money on it and as an artist looking for inspiration.The layout is fairly typical (heroes, villains, weapons, landscape, etc.), but much of the art seems like it came from the Alpha stage of game design and much more seems odd to have included. I understand it is a concept art book, but the details they give you are poor and I had hoped there would be more provided for the multiple armor types in the multiplayer, which 343 has heavily promoted. There are a lot of landscapes, which are pretty, but reduced on most pages to post card size, and many of those are low resolution. I didn't need a page (pg 190) dedicated to desk design or 6 pages (pgs 176-181) dedicated to "Untold Stories" that have nothing to do with the game. The massive picture on pg. 182 and 183 looks like a 30 minute speed painting by Sparth, a truly talented artist, that for some reason got a 2 page spread. The organization of this book is baffling. The Skimmer enemy got 4 pages dedicated to them (pg. 90-93), including a 3 picture row on pg. 91 where the only thing different from one design to the next is the color of a fin of their rocket packs. The Master Chief only received 4 pages, though they didn't recycle images of him, and Elites only get 3. Why they included and focused on what they did doesn't make sense to me, and again, it feels like they rushed it out the door just to have something ready. I would have happily waited for a better product.Most of the text can be summed up as: "We are sorry for the Transformers inspired design in Halo 4 and 5." I didn't mind the art in 4, though disliked everything about Halo 5 so thoroughly I can't even remember much about the game. The Art of Halo 4 book has a much more organized feel to it with more stunning imagery and more insight into the artistic process and worthwhile commentary by the artists.If you are looking for a good "art of (video game)" book for inspiration, I found both the Halo 3 and 4 books to be well done, and the Art of Titanfall 2 and Jedi: Fallen Order are both outstanding. The Art of Halo Infinite is a confusing selection of pictures with very little to offer artists or fans of the Halo universe, and that hurts to say.

The media could not be loaded.  The art looks nice BUT the whole book was cut wrong! Definitely be careful when buying.

I'm a big fan of halo so of course this is a beautiful art book! Very high quality book with a nice hard cover, it will be in my collection for years to come!

After receiving some cash for Christmas, this was an item chosen to spend some of that money. Exactly what the person wanted and they have been enjoying looking and reading it ever since.

Boyfriend loves these concept art books and he was stoked to receive this for Christmas! Came in great condition! Beautiful book

Great book for any halo fan

Great book if your a fan of the halo series and loved the new game. Great art, wonderful hardcover book to put on any collectors shelf.

Got it as a gift for my partner. He is an artist and a big fan of the game. He absolutely loved it. All the pictures are very good quality and the book has some interesting design insights.

Bought as Christmas gift

Pretty good, some more written information would be appreciated though.

Es el Art of Halo más sencillo hasta la fecha. Algunas armas usadas en el juego como el rifle de batalla no están presentes o el francotirador. Algunas locaciones importantes de la campaña tampoco y repiten mismos diseños de enemigos como los Skimmers muchas veces. Algunas ilustraciones se ven muy borrosas y pixeleadas. Esperaba más del libro pero como coleccionista está bien comprarlo

El libro es impresionante, con una calidad en las hojas y la pasta súper bien hechas.En cuanto la contenido, es como fue todo el desarrollo de diseño de las armas, vehículos, personajes y ambiente.Solo le pongo 4 estrellas porque se daño mucho de las esquinas como se ve en la foto, además de solo venir con unas bolsas de aire sin mucha protección.Pero si tienes la oportunidad, te gusta ver el desarrollo del juego y obvio te gusta Halo, date la oportunidad de comprar este gran ArtBook.
