GE Color-Changing LED Night Light 8-color (50860) works as it is described. The colors are nice, the rotation of colors is nice and smooth. I have this plugged in a room I may infrequently go in just to grab a drink out of a secondary refrigerator. So, I don't really need a main light, but this is great to have on.The illumination can fill up to about a 15' x 15' area on the bright colors. [Note: if you put your arms out, you're around 6 foot across.] It is well enough to distinguish colors of a shirt (depending on the color) about six feet away from the light. Yellow, Green, Turquoise, Blue and Purple all give you the distance. Red is a great set for the nightlight for light sleepers, as it only glows about a foot or two away. The bright white is not part of the rotation, but is a decent light 'cool' white on the stationary setting. Full rotation is about 30-35 seconds to cycle thru all the colors.If you have kids sharing a room or maybe your spouse is a light sleeper, red should work. Again, it has a very low spectrum and radius.Another idea for use would be (as an adult) to stick it on an extension plug and place it under your bed or under a nightstand for those middle of the night trips to the bathroom. (Just remember to keep the strip cleaned off as it would accumulate dust fairly easily.)Finally, mine came shipped in a box, with each bubble-wrapped individually.

This wall outlet color-chasing night light has been a great little addition to my child’s room. The soft glow is just enough to comfort my 6-year-old without being too bright or distracting. I really like that it plugs directly into the wall—no wires, no batteries, and it’s compact enough that it doesn’t block the second outlet. The motion detection worked fine.It automatically turns on when the lights go out, which is super convenient. The color-changing feature is a hit, but one word of advice: have a quick talk with your child about not pulling on it or trying to change the color themselves—it’s still plugged into the wall, after all, and safety comes first.All in all, a clever and simple solution for a nighttime glow. Definitely 5 stars from us!

These lights are great! They only turn on when it’s dark outside but they also can be motion censored. They are pretty bright though

Intuitive use. I wish they had a stay on feature, so I could just turn it on at night, and off in the day. Various color options to chose from, or set to rotate. Has a motion sensor. No option to just leave on. That would be a good option, so I could just leave it on, and unplug in the daytime.

Love this for my bathroom...so I don't have to turn on light in middle of night . This looks better .

These are plenty bright and I wish I could adjust the brightness to be a little dimmer but overall they are very good quality and I would recommend.

I got this for a dark hallway and it works great. The color-changing mode is relaxing, and the light is soft but bright enough to see without being harsh. Most of the colors look great—red’s a bit too dim, but not a dealbreaker.It doesn’t get hot, fits close to the wall, and doesn’t block the second outlet. Super easy to use with one button to switch modes. I like that it has both color and white light options.Only downside is it doesn’t remember the color setting after a power outage. Still, it’s a solid little light.

Works as expected, the cool color changes during the midnight visits are a little bit more fun. Way better than the bright light. Wish I would’ve done this a long time ago. Get it!
