Ben Archer and the World Beyond (The Alien Skill Series) Paperback – April 8, 2020

Love love love Ben. The 4 books are twisty, turning adventure...well told and described. Particularly liked this one, #4...the beliefs and stories of Aunt Jen and Uncle Pete are golden...have a wonderful impact on this story. Further, Ben's skill with animals and marine life is so right on. Hope there's more to this series!!!!

Fun adventure and a good message for us all. Enough for a young person or an old one like me who enjoys a good clean story.

An tale that seamlessly blends action, adventure, humor and an extremely timely message for today's readers. Ben Archer is sent away to 'camp' at his relatives' home for the summer after a near brush with death while attempting to use his 'alien skill' to communicate with a pod of massive blue whales. While at 'camp,' a pod of orcas becomes beached near his summer home. After a failed attempt by the community and Bens' relatives to return the creatures to the sea, Ben decides it is his job to rescue the orcas. He is successful, with the help of his 'alien skill,' of course. Upon learning that a boat seen off the coast may be responsible for the whales beaching themselves, Kimi and Ben decide to confront the boat operators. Instead, they are taken hostage while the ship, called the 'SOVA,' resumes it's quest for the orcas. What follows in an action- filled adventure that thrills the reader and demands they keep reading. So as not to spoil the ending, in conclusion, Ben completes his mission, but faces more dilemmas upon his return to land. After a meeting of the 'Old Ones,' he gains new friends and enemies, who he will have to deal with at the 'Great Gathering' in Brazil. This is a great story that reads quickly and smoothly. I highly recommend it.

My grandson has enjoyed this series so much that I have ordered every one of them for him. I am holding #5 and #6 until he's finished #4 which should not be too long now. He loves them according to his mother.

This series is one of the best young adult series that I have ever read it keeps you on the edge of your seat with heart pounding suspense and intrigue . I looks forward too each new installment .

Loved the way the author wove in very real issues facing the planet. I read every book in this series as I couldn’t put it down.

The excellent fourth book in the Ben Archer series. Ben learns more about his skill, and begins to pursue his mission. The underlying message of the connection between humanity and the other species of earth is beautifully portrayed, and vitally important in our modern world. Can't wait to read the next one!

Fast paced read that draws the reader in because the main character seems so real and is like many a teenage boy. It addresses his maturing, to a certain extent, and you want to know what happens next. Hopefully available in follow-on books.

Like, seriously! Such depth of understanding the natural world, native American wisdom, and the risks we face if we keep destroying nature, bundled up in an exciting, totally out there yet believable story. I was deeply touched.
