CDs skip sometimes

The radio is great. The CD player has a 50% success rate so far. There's a lot of clicking and a lot of extraneous noise before any music plays, and ofter the music never comes on. Very disappointing for the price. I owned an almost identical Sony under counter plays for 20 years and it gradually wore out. The CD play was the first thing to go; then gradually the buttons lost their covers and became hard to press on and off. But it was an awesome system for the kitchen while it lasted, which was a long time. That's why I felt okay about buying this product refurbished with an "excellent" rating. But it didn't live up to the hype, and so far the refurbisher has not responded to my email with video. CK
