Purchasing again today. Last time was 2024. And it actually has nothing wrong. It works fine
This is a pretty sturdy unit ! And for $9 bucks !! Why go anywhere else!!!?? Amazon says I ordered it June of 2024 . That’s when I got the Buddy 125cc. So about 2 years and a little over 8k miles . I’m actually just buying all new items after swapping out the stator that burnt a coil I guess .. was already time for new tires too . And since the stator was acting up the few days leading up to it dying on my way home, I got a new voltage regulator rectifier.. and now I just, I’m getting all new parts and slowly swapping out . I still drive it everyday and will keep the old one as a spare . It’s been a while so I put the manufactures unit back on for a trip down the street . So I could have a fresh recollection of the difference I notice . It’s so much better . So much! .. put it this way .. I have 0 engine modifications or performance upgrade kits . Just this cdi unit.. average speed increase noticeably by 30mph . I could get 90+ but not 100.. and that is freeways . Buying 3 of these is cheaper than 1 somewhere else .. but they last a really long time so im not sure why I’d do with 3 more . Haha But seriously I am buying 2 more right now . Price won’t be like this next time I check ..maybe

The CDI module lasted for two years
It worked well for two years. Then the engine started to surge and falter. I thought it was possibly a fuel issue because it was intermittent at first. Like dirt in the carb. Cleaned the entire fuel system and carb. No improvement. Finally it just quit running. Thankfully close to home. Went back to the OEM CDI and it's now running fine.

Didn't work out of the package
I plugged in the new CDI and tried starting my scooter. The scooter turned over for a second and then nothing. I found the fuse coming off of the positive battery terminal was blown. I installed a new fuse and hooked up the old cdi and the scooter started right up. Again I tried the new cdi and it blew the fuse once again. I'm sure the new cdi is grounding out inside of the cdi box somewhere causing the it back-feed and blow the fuse. Meaning the new cdi was dead on arrival.
