As an Apple developer, there are often times when I want to experiment with unstable beta software safely by installing/booting up/running on a separate (read: safe) drive. The TarDisk is the perfect solution -- small, inconspicuous in the SD slot, an independent flash drive which functions as another internal drive, yet is truly external (and thereby easily removable). Oh, did I mention it matches perfectly the rugged aluminum case? The TarDisk is also an excellent way to create a separate disk to run Linux on the MacBook by downloading and installing your distro of choice. Or a separate disk to run an older (or newer) version of MacOSX. Or keep a different version of MacOSX on separate TarDisks to test that software-under-development will indeed run problem-free on each version. Or simply more room for overflow of music and photos. Or a way of carrying "your" computer in your pocket that you can insert and run in any MacBook available. Wonderful idea well executed. Five-stars recommendation.
