This device generates a strong ion wind very noticeable when held close to the nose. It has the same specs as the Wein AS-300R. The lanyard is about an inch shorter than Wein's, which places it closer to the face. Even better would be a lanyard with an adjuster button to adjust the length behind the neck to bring it as close as possible to the face. It charged quickly and the power button is easy to find and a cool blue LED indicates it is on. The owner's manual indicates an ion density of > 1.5 million ions/cc or 2M ions at 10cm. However, elsewhere PureAir claims 50M ions/cm3, so the manual may be a misprint or reflect a different type of calculation. The output certainly feels very strong. Ion generators this strong usually use a plasma process and this device probably uses some kind of closed field plasma. The method of action is different than carbon fiber brush devices create negative ions which attract pollutants and microbes to attach to them. This device repels them with positive ions or destroys them through electron impact. Since this generates positive ions I would use it to clear the air in your personal space and not for mood enhancement. Without getting into more detailed comparisons of positive/negative ions or metal tip vs carbon fiber emitters this device is certainly very powerful, well designed, and is convenient to wear and use.

I wear the unit anytime I leave my house and feel it protects me from germs in the grocery store, drug store, ballgames, or Church. Anywhere there are crowds of people. I recommend these units to all my friends and family.

It is more powerful than similar products on the market, very well designed, without bright blue light when it is on. Last 24 hours between charges. The only thing I’m not giving it a 5 stars is the smell of ozone, called the customer service and been told to use it for a while, the smell will fade away, hoping that will be the case.

Easy to use and light. Makes me feel more secure knowing the air within my immediate surroundings is being purified.

I've owned 3 of these at various time. Recently sent the 2nd back bcz it didnt seem to be flowing, no fresh breeze. Got the replacement and its not any better. What is the difference Green Tech? Are these faulty or have you changed the quality of parts or the way they operate? Really liked the older ones much better with more powerful flow and noticeable fresh scent for air purifying. Would have given 5 stars w/o question if that was still part of the products qualities.

I use this every time I go out. I personally think it works better then masks.

This has made an unbelievable difference in my ability to cope with environmental allergens this Autumn. Normally the worst time of year for allergy induced asthma for me and I've only had to use my inhaler a couple of times over a three month time. I can barely believe it.
