How to use Tarrago Mink Oil Clean The Leather Before applying mink oil, it's important to clean the leather to remove any dirt or debris. Use a soft, damp cloth or a leather cleaner specifically designed for the type of leather you are treating. Gently wipe the surface to ensure it's free from any contaminants. Allow the leather to dry completely before proceeding to the next step. Apply Mink Oil Take a small amount of mink oil on a clean, lint-free cloth or a sponge applicator. This is great stuff, but I was a little sad that it has almost no odor. I really like the typical mink oil scent, it gives things a nice "new leather" smell. But if you don't like the smell of mink oil, this is the brand for you.
