Love this can opener! My hands don’t work as well as they used to:) I needed to find a different type of can opener. Unlike the counter units that leave sharp edges, this can opener removes the entire lid so there are no sharp edges. AND the lid can be placed back on the can if you don’t use all the contents. This has come in handy for my cat’s wet food which comes in larger cans. It’s so easy to use. AND even easier to clean. Highly recommend

I'm impressed with how much force this opener can exert to open stubborn jars. It generally works well, but I've run into a couple of problems. It doesn't always reset properly after opening a jar. This requires some manual twisting of the mechanism to get it back to where it needs to be to open the next jar. Usually, I can get it positioned properly. But once I had to disassemble the unit to get all the parts back to where they needed to be. I consider this to be a bit of a design flaw. Most of the time, it's a minor nuisance. I just hope I don't have to disassemble it very often. Lastly, it doesn't open all shapes of jars, but this is not surprising.

This gadget is an absolute miracle for me. I have suffered with getting jars open for YEARS! Jelly jars, pimento jars, pickle jars, mustard and mayo jars...... the list just goes on. I am convinced through the years they have sought out the MOST impossible- to--open lids that they can find, and then mechanically sucked them so tightly shut that it almost takes a vice and an ax to open them. It has made my life miserable! Then I saw this can opener. At first I kind of laughed, but then I read the positive reviews and thought,what the heck, I'll give it a try. So I bought one. On my very first try, I could NOT believe how fast it worked and what a wonderful job it did of getting that lid off. I almost screamed with joy. (I have actually hurt my wrist several times trying to open jars so this was a BIG deal for me!) I ran and got my husband and showed him how this thing worked, and I opened several more jars in amazement. Well, that was months ago- and I have to tell you I am still in love with this thing! I use it several times a week, and every time I do, I tell it I LOVE IT before I put it in the drawer! I don't ever want to be without this magical little device. I bought 2 more as backups just in case my original dies at some point. For those that say they don't like it- I can only imagine that they are not using it correctly, because this thing is a beast! PURE LOVE HERE!!!!

I am normally disappointed with most companies that do business in Amazon market place. This is a company you can trust. I had a jar that was really difficult. this machine would not give up. It broke an arm. I ended up using a very large channel lock pliers to open that jar. The company was very good about replacing the opener. And this one also works like a champ.

Awful! I just received it today. It was VERY difficult to remove from the package, box, and HAD NO INSTRUCTIONS! Nonetheless, I inserted batteries, the battery cover didn't snap back in positively (looked and felt like it should have been a solid "click" with tight fit, but didn't). I felt like I was fumbling to make it fit on top of a jar of preserves, but when I pressed the green button, it made some sounds, very cheap motor sounds, yet did open the top after about 6-10 seconds. And it kept on going! I pressed the green button, no stop. I did a long press, still no stop. I had to take the batteries out to stop it! I decided to return it. The plastic packaging cover went on OK, but the cardboard dunnage that holds the product in place in the box would not fit properly on the other side! I finally did what I had to to get the thing back in the box for returns. I wonder if this was someone else's returned product first!

Worked well for 13 months. Amazed visitors. Then just stopped moving, though we could hear the motor working. New batteries did not help. Too bad it is not more durable or long lasting.

My hands are arthritic and I have carpal tunnel so I needed something that works. AI recommended this item. The instructions say to keep fingers away from moving parts so I took my hand off of it when it started moving. Don't do that or you may have the jar's contents all over your counter. Keep your hand on top. It will make a loud pop, which startles me every time, but it gets the jar opened.

I was a little doubtful about its ability to open anything, I was so wrong. This is absolutely a life saver for me. I have arthritis in my hands and can’t grip tight enough. This opener is so easy to use and works fantastic. Highly recommend
