Not same product as advertised
This is not the same product as advertised. The one with the lavender label is heating; this gives you a bit of numbness that’s a mix of hotness or coldness for like 5 minutes. I’ve used the advertised product for years, and I know how it’s supposed to feel.

Great for pain relief
My mum has rheumatoid arthritis and this seems to help with pain management. She puts this on 3 times a day. Would recommend 100%

Warm feeling, but a bit pricey
Was intrigued to try a real massage oil with herbs in it, so gave this a try. Is a small 50ml of bottle of oil. The bottle is quite old fashioned with Chinese letters on each side of the bottle. The lid is screw on, and it has a small hole on the top so it only releases droplets of the oil, meaning that it will last longer. As soon we opened the lid the strong smell hit us. Is a mix of peppermint and lavender, but the peppermint is definitely overpowering. The oil itself is quite runny, the texture is like water. We have used it on our backs, once it’s rubbed in, within half a minute or so, you’ll feel that the area is warm, and when the wind/breath blows the area, it felt cool. I have also used it on my forehead and chest which gave a warming, throat clearing effect. Bear in mind that the oil is so strong that you cannot use it close to the eye area (the forehead might have been too close as my eyes kept being teary). Also after using it, DO NOT touch your eyes, even after hand wash, be in mind when touching the oiled area of your body as you might touch your eyes aft afterwards without thinking. All in all, I can recommend the oil as we like the effect it gives, but the price might be a bit too high for a small bottle. Even though the 50ml will last a lot more than a normal oil would.

Poorly made bottle top
This arrived broken. Not the fault of transport but the small plastic screw on lid was already broken it seems. It was, the entire bottle, in a sealed plastic bag inside the box. The oil was spilt within the bag and even through the plastic and box the intense smell of the oil was pungent. I made the mistake of trying to open the bag to get to the bottle and then found the oil is incredibly difficult to get off your skin and clothes. Such a shame as I've had this used on me at Chinese acupuncture and massage centers but this particular type is let down by poor design and ill quality rendering the entire product useless.

Standard chinese massage oil
Despite all the usual claims of medicinal and curative properties, this oil has none that can be proven via scientific means. It is, however, a nice-smelling 'warming' oil, mainly down to the peppermint, wintergreen, and camphor-white ingredients. Think of Carmex, but in liquid form. This oil smells very nice, I personally mix it with a neutral massage oil, which makes it less irritating and of course last a lot longer. If you are using it 'neat' then be careful as any breaks or sore skin will become very pain indeed. It's a small bottle for the money, but you only needs a little. I would say this is a pretty average product, and the cap is very small and easy to lose.
