Waterproof, thick plastic bag. Works great
Its a waterproof plastic bag. Thick plastic. My radio barely fit inside it but it fit. Easy to operate and hear the radio through the bag. I'm satisfied with this product so far. It didn't leak so that's pretty much what I was going for.

COVID-19 Price Gouging, DO NOT BUY
This item typically sells for $12 (see price history with any good price comparison tool). Whether it is even worth $12 is unclear, but its current price is around $18-20 fueled by COVID-19 price gouging. The item easily tears and I've owned many (14+) of these disposable cases, all of which spring holes in any number of areas across the thin, weak plastic. A short-term repair with Aquaseal buys some additional life for the product before yet another hole develops in this poor quality product. I would never trust a non-waterproof device to such a case. I recommend NOT BUYING the product while price gouging continues as it is basically $20 for a disposable ziplock bag.

Works Great!
Used it while canoeing and worked great. It stayed completely waterproof (tested it several times) and floats even with the largest radio and extra battery pack. I added a small desiccant pack as I kept noticing moisture inside the bag after sealing it up.

Stopped being water tight after about a year. If I were to do this again, I would pay more for a higher quality bag -it's worth it!!!

Fits public safety radios - Police/Fire/EMS - XTS3000, HT-1000, etc
This was used for my fire radio (Motorola XTS3000) and will also fit our HT-1000's, MT-2000's, and XTS5000's. I am posting this because I struggled to find information on which cases would work with public safety radios and finally found a picture of this model with an HT-1000 in it so I decided to give it a try. With the XTS3000 you will want to purchase a stubby antenna so the height fits perfectly or be prepared to bend the antenna a little bit to get it in. I am able to fully submerge the radio without it getting wet. Also convenient is the lanyard and clip that can be secured to your rescue vessel or lifevest.

Use with caution.
I like the product but the plastic is a little weak. Ended up getting punctured through the back and sinking my radio before I realized it was full of sea water. As long as you keep it out of harms way, it is fine but it is certainly not a tough item and it is easily punctured.
