The tread provides good footing without being so deep that small stones lodge in the tread. Since our driveways to the barn and other storage sheds are gravel, this has been an issue in the past.Since the flap inside is continuous the boots can be hosed down carefully without getting water inside the boots.We only had one problem. Check your boots carefully when they arrive. The first pair had a clasp missing. However, return and replacement was very easy and the replacements were shipped the same day I printed out the return label.
