They are silky. My thighs could start a fire by rubbing together and I have no problem with these. **Q: Is the fit strong compression, or does the fit have a somewhat billowy give to them?** A: It is a comfortable fit on me. They are not overly strong in waist area. Others I’ve purchased are much too tight in the waist.
