I need a reliable fast internet connection with wifi in garden office. Powerline adapters worked but not stable so I can a cat 6 cable out there and plugged it into this router. Now I can get same speeds as in house and so far no dropped connection. As a bonus I also discovered it is wall mountable so takes up no desk/shelf space

Bought this to replace the wi-fi function on a generic UK ISP router. Even in a small house the wi-fi signal from the ISP router was unable to reach everywhere. The signal strength from this Asus Router is the opposite. It clearly reaches all parts of the property (generic 50's 3 bed) and the interface is very slick and easy to use.

A very good quality / price ratio. does its job and setting it up is pretty intuitive. the only small and negligible flaw is the limit of 5 VPNs that can be installed on the device. the app to manage it is excellent.

Wasn't expecting this access point to perform as well as it has. Honestly it's worked flawlessly out of the box. Not a single drop in WiFi since I've had it (2-ish months). I'd definitely recommend this over TP-LINK products. Definitely worth the price.

Excellent Router. I have set it up to booster my current WIFI signal. I have also set up a mini media server using the USB port on the back of this router. App is really informative and easy to use

Virgin Hub 3 almost stopped working, and after 2 weeks of non stop disconnecting I decided to buy this one. Setting it was simple, and now everything works like it should, no even better.

This was a brilliant router for 150MB FTTP from BT / Openreach, on upgrading to 500MB the limits of this router were well and truly found, 250MB wired is the absolute maximum throughput on this unit.

First things first, the current price at £105 is a joke. The positive reviews are justified, but seeing as this was £35 for ages, you probably need to be aware that most reviews will be based on that price/value. The Asus app and the aimesh works really well.

Works well as described. Very easy to configure I'm using this as an access point. Im having a 600 mbps connection and this router is working perfectly fine giving me about 540-580mpbs speed on 5ghz WiFi.

The box was re-labelled as AC1300 with a sticker and underneath the sticker was AC1200. The model number in the box was RT-AC58U which is the AC1300 model. I'm confused if what is the exact model of the router because the 2 models have some slight differences especially the USB and RAM.
