Quit working in 5 months
We bought this trimmer in July 2025 and as of December 2025 it no longer works. I would not recommend this product.

The Perfect Grooming Tool for Easy and Pain-Free Nose Hair Removal
If you're looking for a safe and pain-free way to remove unwanted nose hair, then the Philips Norelco Nose Trimmer 1000 is definitely worth considering. This grooming tool is designed to make the process of trimming nose hair quick, easy, and comfortable. One of the things I love most about this nose trimmer is its precision. The specially designed blades are angled to make it easy to reach even the most hard-to-reach hairs, while the protective guard ensures that you won't accidentally cut yourself or cause any discomfort. And because it's battery-operated, you can use it anywhere, anytime. But what really sets the Philips Norelco Nose Trimmer 1000 apart is its ease of use. The ergonomic design makes it easy to grip and maneuver, even in tight spaces. And because it's fully washable, you can easily clean it after each use for hygienic grooming. Overall, I would highly recommend the Philips Norelco Nose Trimmer 1000 to anyone looking for a reliable and pain-free way to remove unwanted nose hair. It's affordable, easy to use, and delivers great results every time. So if you're tired of uncomfortable nose hair removal techniques, give this grooming tool a try – you won't be disappointed!

Disappointing trim quality - Everything else looks good
For a brand name like Norelco, I expected a lot more. It honestly barely works, occasionally you hear it trim a hair if you are lucky, not much more than that. I definitly need to return this and get a new one. Trim quality was low, durabilty looks good, noise level was low which is good, power sounds good, size is fine, havne't gone through a single battery yet, just disapointed in the trim. I do have others that I'll use after this one and they find hair to trim just fine, not sure what's up?

I remember when....
Philips/Norelco used to be a reputable brand that put out decent products, namely men's shavers. Now, they actually put their name on this very cheap nose/ear hair trimmer. Well, so far it has been working and we'll see how long that lasts. I've used the rotary type of trimmer of years. The last one had a rechargeable battery which is terrible since it does not hold a charge for very long. This one has a real battery, so that is a plus. I wanted to try the 'hedge trimmer' design to see if it did a better job, especially in the ears. I must say that so far, I like it. It works well in the nose too. The trimmer is noisy when used in the ears. Be careful not to lose the plastic attachment for the eyebrow trimmer. Couldn't they have included a small bag to keep everything together? I guess that would raise the price too much. I haven't used the eyebrow trimmer yet, but will update this review if there is a problem.

Smart cap design
I LOVE this. The cap design has changed since I purchased my last one over a decade ago. Since the new design fully protects the blades without fully closing them off from the air, I can use it, wash it, re-cap it, and then immediately store it without worrying about trapping water inside the cap. Great price. Effective.

Not the Best
This trimmer does not work like my older model. I used the head off of the older model on this model. It works much better.

Works well -- but only for a short time
When it works, for me at least, it works fine. Trims the nose hair as close as, or closer than, any other device. The problem is, its lack of durability. The problem is in the head assembly (the battery contacts, motor, switch, etc., all of which are down in the handle, seem to work well). But if you take the head off -- it's meant to be removable -- you can see how flimsy the plastic assembly is inside it that translates the circular motion of the motor to the vertical motion of the blades. And it doesn't take long for this cheap little thing to fracture. When it does, it immobilizes the whole device. If you read some of the other comments you'll see people saying how it just seemed to lose power and go dead on them, all of a sudden; but that's not quite what happens. It sounds like it's dead, with no power at all -- but in fact the motor still works fine; if you take the head off you can see it still spinning; but that little plastic thing, when it breaks, prevents the motor from turning at all, even though it keeps on trying to. Philips, you would think, could either manufacture better -- or especially, could and should design better. But then of course, they wouldn't have any repeat customers! Unfortunately this thing is too flimsy to let the whole device have much of a life expectancy; shame on Philips.
