**Q: Do you use this with a rotter**
A: Is am assuming you are referring to Gun Metal.  I honestly don't know.  If it is plated... you run the risk of lifting some of the plating  and exposing some of the metal below.

  If solid, any abrasive works by removing micro amount of metal and restoring the finish that is there.  This is the reason that different finishes require different products.

  Since I don't know this particular answer.... I would suggest using the product on a random piece of metal first so you know how it will work (I use a scale when testing products) ... then move to an area on the watch that isn't exposed...so you can test first.  Sometimes customers are so desperate (and we have been there too) to take the risk to improve the look.  I must stress that IF this is a plated Metal... the result will be worse as you can expose more of the metal below.  It's that are Plated can be re-plated.  The process is expensive as it involves taking the watch apart , re-coating and then re-assembly.

Items in this kit do work for removing scratches and renewing brushed finishes. But the kit is now way overpriced. You can go on eBay right now and buy everything in this kit for less than $25.00 including shipping. Instructions on all the items in the kit can be found on YouTube videos.
