If you have a daughter or granddaughter get this and read it now.
It’s hard to say you “like” a book that is so revealing and downright frightening about the dangers young girls face in today’s world. Nevertheless, it is vitally important for parents, grandparents and loved ones.

Best Parenting Book for Muslim Parents!
I am usually sceptical when reading parenting books but a Muslim Psychotherapist recommended Dr. Leonard Sax books as she says he beliefs are same as ours. I have read two of his books already and I am feeling very motivated. I feel more equipped to raise my 10 years old daughter. Thank you.

An important book
This book is well researched, accessibly written, and important. The lives of our daughters and granddaughters are being changed -- and not for the better -- in ways we could not have even imagined 20 years ago.I'm a child psychologist, with 38 years of experience. I've been recommending this book to my friends, my colleagues, and most importantly, to the parents of my grandchildren.Sax goes beyond naming the problems, and offers concrete suggestions for supporting the girls in our lives. Thanks.

Excellent Book For Parents and Those Wanting Some Insight Into the Female Experience
I love most of Leonard Sax’s work and this work was no exception. I recommend it highly to all readers looking for an info dump in regards to this topic, to parents looking for a bit of guidance, and for men wanting to peer into how the experiences of women differ to our own experiences.

Help for rearing a daughter.
Do your daughters know that everything posted on the web is there forever? That it can be seen by anyone over the years? That it can impact their future in a negative way? Do our girls know what fun it is to read, to hike, to swim? If you are rearing a daughter please read this book written by an internationally know expert. Dr Sax is a PhD and an M.D. His degrees are not from the internet they are real.

Important Reading -- Balanced and Thoughtful
Completely unanticipated his take on cutting. Quite fascinating...and he's come the closest to helping me understand it as anyone in the mental health community. I give Dr. Sax five stars as he understands how does one cope with "beauty" and their worth? He dispells the childhood abuse myth must cause cutting (THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU)Instead, he writes and provides examples of how the ubiquitous and lewd nature of media has challenged/damaged and done much to harm girls/women and their experience.Read this and "The Beauty Myth" and understand the culture of vanity and how frightening the resultant personal experience

Thank you Dr. Sax
I had the pleasure of recording an interview with Dr. Sax recently and I understood everything he said. I immediately bought all three of his books. This book like his others is full of practical information that needs to be implemented asap. Dr. Sax's books offer parents and our children hope for a better child/parent relationship.
