Slow Gardening: A No-Stress Philosophy for All Senses and All Seasons

A very funny entertaining book on gardening. The information is basic but good; however just reading it is fun. I have been gardening all my life and am in my seventies. I am also a reader and always have been. I usually buy gardening books for reference such as Dirr's Manual of Woody Landscape Plants. I buy Felder Rushing's books for enjoyment and entertainment first and a new slant on things and information second. He makes me smile and he makes me laugh. Not that there isn't good information here, there is. He is an expert gardener and knows what he is talking about but he also makes me happy and I walk around with a smile on my face. If you get a chance to attend one of his seminars, go early. They are always packed because people enjoy him.

Actually, if I were closer to being a beginner, this would be great information for me. Felder explains how to do it once, not how to do it over. Methods and reasons are nicely explained, with humor. This guy knows his stuff and I wish I'd had this book several years back - before I had to do all the do-overs.

Super book! Felder Rushing has the most common sense approach to gardening. There is no snobbery, no nonsense, just a very practical approach to gardening. Very good-humoured reading, too. I am disabled and I purchased this text to find tips for managing my large yard. I've found several that are very useful. Not just a practical guide to gardening, but a very good read!

Love it, love it, love it. Felder Rushing always writes fantastic books! Packed with garden facts and know-how to and humor!!!!!!!!

Felder Rushing is always entertaining. However, I didn't feel like there was alot of new information here. I was looking for more substantial material on how to make your gardening less work and more enjoyment. This book would probably be better for a beginning gardener. I've pretty much covered the existing sources, I think.

Anything that Felder Rushing writes is good, interesting and workable. He is a favorite writer of mine as well as a favorite speaker. You can't go wrong with what he tells you as it is doable and is so down to earth.

Changed my way of thinking about gardening. I'm learning to be myself!
