Shelly1 Wi-Fi Switch Actuator 16 A (Double Pack)

These are great bits of kit. Easy to follow instructions, fairly easy install and great result. I have used one of these to sync up with a motion sensor in my garage to operate the light and another attached to the lightswitch fo my outdoor lights. If I want to turn the garden lights on I can use the lightswitch, or my phone or Google Home/ Alexa now. Same for the garage, I never have to worry about turning the light on if I'm carrying something now. Works instantly and does exactly as it is meant to.

The units were delivered when promised.Although the units are small, you do need some room for the wiring. In my case I needed 2 units to be installed in a detached garage which was 9 Mtr's from the house. The existing outside 5 lights for the patio area are switched from 2 switches in the garage and I wanted to control these from the comfort of the house. The units were much too large to fit within the metalclad existing switch boxes and I placed these within two 80mm x 80mm x 45mm plastic enclosures. You can't use metal boxes which would screen the WiFi signal from the house. I followed the instructions provided and noted that the cable terminal access are quite small but adequate for my lighting cable. I downloaded the Shelly app and after the usual setting up an account for log in the app searched and found the 2 relays I had installed and I added these to the app. I have only used these for just over two weeks, but regularly, and they have so far worked perfectly from the comfort of my dinning room. These are on/off devices only, you need a different Shelly unit for dimmable lamp applications.

Have installed 3 of these devices. Looks like the third unit is a bit dodgy. Lights turn on and off randomly.That issue aside, they do work really well and integrates into Google Home nicely.The wiring is a it fiddly, but once you know what to do, can be installed within 10-15 minutes. You'll need extra wires + some electrical connectors to wire up the device correctly.

I have these all throughout my house, reflashed with software that supports Apple’s HomeKit and they work pretty much flawlessly. Cannot recommend this enough for turning any dumb light or device into a smart one.

One of the best I’ve used

I bought this to replace a sonoff that I Used to control kitchen lights. The sonoff was asModed to allow the mains switch to also turn the lights on/off. This little off the shelf Shelly is half the size and took about 5 mins to replace the sonoff without any hardware mods. Updating the firmware was a breeze.Brilliant I will be buying more of these.

The 'Shelly 1' switch is the ideal fitting for the smart control of home electronics.This product just works, and works and works.Can be slightly tricky to get setup, but not something beyond normal human capabilities. Once setup this unit provides not only voice, but smart control of home devices as needed.Units can work locally without the need for cloud/online services and have a rapid response time.The large benefit to these devices, is the ability to have the main switch still operate, but with the automation functions completely hidden in the back-box out of sight.Compatible with Googe/Alexa and other smart home setup's such as Home Assistant and/or Hubitat.Was given some of these by a friend some time ago and am now expanding my setup and will be using more and more of these to help provide the features I want.

For DYI home automation wifi switches this is the most versatile there is.

He comprado un par de Shelly 1 para controlar remotamente unos dispositivos.He usado la aplicación Shelly ya que era lo más rápido, si bien me he juntado ahora en el móvil con varias aplicaciones ya que tengo otros interruptores de otras marcas.La configuración es fácil, hay que tener el móvil conectado a la misma red de 2,4 Ghz que el Shelly, si se conecta a la red wifi de 5Ghz el móvil no es posible hacer la configuración.La sensibilidad parce adecuada, ya que está en una zona de la casa que la señal le llega débil pero siempre consigo activarlo.El tamaño es bastante pequeño.El único punto desfavorable que ya se ha comentado es que no permite poner cables de 1.5 mm2 de sección, la clema es pequeña.Lo bueno es que el contacto está aislado y permite hacer otras combinaciones que otros interruptores no te permite.También que se puede configurar en la aplicación diferente funcionamientos del interruptor, por ejemplo tipo pulsador.

Ich steuere über das Shelly mein elektrisches Garagentor. Hängt zu Hause in meiem WLAN und so habe ich mit dem Handy von überall Zugriff. Die Programmierung war nicht ganz so einfach wie beschrieben aber mit etwas Hilfe hat es dann gut funktioniert. Es ist schon ein genialer Komfort, wenn ich mit den Handy das Garagentor von unterwegs öffnen kann, und dann mit dem Rad gleich rein fahren kann.Hätte das nur schon viel früher finden sollen.
