France Luxe is a European brand, and a well-known producer of high-quality and lovely hand-made hair accessories. I live in Belgium part-time, and have purchased many versions of these hair clasps. Some I have had in constant use for close to 18 years. They are still lovely, and grip almost as well as in the beginning.When I came to America, I was surprised to discover that it was practically impossible to discover high level and chic hair clasps. So, I continued to purchase them in Europe. But recently, while searching for something quite different on Amazon, to my total surprise I came across these lovely clasps. There are other brands being sold on Amazon, but for the best quality, France Luxe is the one to buy.Pull your hair back,and style as desired, hold it in place with a cheap clasp, spray hairspray if desired, let dry, then remove the cheap clip and add this lovely example . The reason for all of the preceding rigamarole is pretty simple - the hair-spray removes the fine gloss finish from the clasps over time, and cruds-up the spring.After wearing the clasp, wash it in warm water, rubbing with a soft cloth, then let dry on a towel, and store in a cabinet or drawer. The whole point of all of this is to maintain the breathtakingly lovely, hand-polished sheen, and to prevent the metal spring fasteners from breaking. If you do not follow this process, your clasps will begin to dull, significantly, or even to peel. Once that happens, there is no rescue possible. You have a very expensive two pieces of carved of fancily-shaped acrylic or what ever, and a gummed-up spring.I recommend this clasp, even for those with shorter hair. So much beauty and sophistication can be added to ones appearance with the use of something so simple as an elegant French hair clasp. There are so many different ways that the clasps can be used in hair of most lengths, and you are bound to collect compliments for your expensive-looking, salon-effect hair style.I recommend these because I have used them since I was in high school, they work, they last if you take care of them' and this brand has demonstrated its superiority to me. They are worth the price.

These are expensive, but well worth the price in my opinion. They secure my hair very well and are very comfortable, even when pressure is applied against them (such as a headrest or lying down). I have a couple different styles and they are also very pretty -- the plastic does not look cheap at all and has nice color, pattern and shine, and it has not faded over several years (I bought my first one in 2014). I did have the spring on one of them break, but the company offers a lifetime guarantee. Customer service was super helpful and all I had to do was send in a photo of the broken clip, and they quickly sent me a replacement. These are on my list of must-haves, which is why I have a number of them around. Highly recommended!

With long, thick, curly hair, this is the only clip that I use that will hold my hair without breaking or popping off. And it’s beautifully made. It’s thick and sturdy, yet looks sheer and elegant with soft sheen. It isn’t inexpensive but is a great value for the money and will last years. My first one was at least 10 years old, with weekly use before the spring gave out. With price per wear it’s a great value for the money.

Medium shoulder length fine but a lot of hair. Holds up with some whispys can fix during the day. I am choosing not to use hairspray on these because of the expense. I love France luxe. I have many barrettes. This is my first clip. I just could not find black in stores. I am letting hair grow and some days just need to put it up.This clip is worth the money. It’s got tension but did not give me headache. I have worn it all week before writing this. My barrettes are flat classy for putting in classic ponytail. I have been able to soak and get hairspray off these. The clip would be harder. I have been using this brand for six years and still have every piece.

This clip is classy, well built and will hold all that long hair up off your neck.Much better than a ponytail .

Quality jaw hair clips are difficult to find these days which is surprising given they are a quick remedy for windy days outside. France Luxe jaw clips are of extremely high quality and reflect an innovative use of plastics to promote beauty as well as strength. I have a beautiful France Luxe jaw clip that is approaching ten years in age which I use several times a week. It looks as good as the day I bought it. This clip appears to be another step above that in terms of quality. Read the descriptions carefully. This clip is made for medium to thick hair. I actually have thin to medium; medium just after wash and blow dry. So I won't get quite the use out of it but it's too unique to return.
