Coil lifetime short
I bought one in 2017 to use in a recycled (gray) water sprinkler system. Coil opened up the other day, in 2022. These are designed so the coil can be slipped off by taking off the top nut. I've ordered another unit. Hopefully the design has not changed so that I can take the coil off the new one and put it on the in-place valve.

Valve opens and closed fine.
The threads are not tapered so they won't seal properly even with Teflon tape and dope together. Very frustrating. Had to solder the threads to prevent leaking. Valve opens and closed fine.

Half-Inch solenoid valves
Yes, well constructed, but one of the three malfunctioned and will need to get it swapped out. Price is right so will continue to buy them.
