This is portable but we chose to attach to the threshold for more semi-permanent stability. Got the 36” one and it is not too heavy to carry and take w you if needed. More than one step and you will want a longer ramp. We used different fasteners than what was provided. Nice non slip surface.

They were supposed to pick it up at my home, and possibly exchange it for a lighter model but they never showed up. I will probably follow up on it. It's far too heavy for any average care person to lift.
