Decent quality for great price.
I purchased the black unit with the stainless steel finish top.Pros: very well packaged, very clear instructions (takes a good 2 hours to install and yes, do not use power tools), very good looking, and the price is great.Cons: the finish will chip if you drop a piece so careful. But I still give it a 5* as i knew that is a known issue with the material.I am also covering the top so it does not get scratched.Very happy with it.

Looks Great - Pretty Easy To Assemble
I will start by saying this thing is heavy. I think the combined base and stainless top were over 100lb and arrived in two big boxes that I was able to move to my office on a large cart. I forget exactly how long it took to assemble, maybe a couple of hours, but I was working on my own. It would have gone much quicker with a helping hand, so I'd recommend that.Overall, I would say the instructions were well thought out and easy to follow. The bags of screws and fittings, and parts are all really well labeled. The only problem I ran in to was with one of the "leg" units, which had misaligned holes. I just used a drill to move the hole over a little and it was perfectly fine. The construction is a mixture of solid wood, wood veneer, and "chipboard." The corner edges of the chipboard need a little care or they can chip a bit, but its nothing serious. Putting the top on, on my own, was a challenge because you had to get it perfectly level and drop it on so I used books and magazines to shim it down a bit at a time.Once in place, it looks great with my Saeco Superautomatic, and other coffee gear in place. I even went out and bought a nice piece of art for the wall behind to make it look swish.Very happy with it indeed.

It is beautiful, but the drawers are so shallow (10 inches deep) that it makes it hard to fit anything in there neatly. This is the only set of drawers in the kitchen. Also, the front piece cracked already and we have been using it for less than a month.

Good product, many parts and good quality
There are a lot of parts to assemble on this buffet. It was packed well and I was left with much packing material to dispose of.I used wood glue on all of the joints, which took a bit longer but makes for a stronger build. I love the stainless top; it’s easy to keep clean and is fairly strong metal over wood.I know some people reported issue with the drawers. My drawers were fine themselves, but one of the drawer faces was drilled for the handle upside down. It was easy to fix by flipping the face over, and drilling the handle holes all the way through.I am pleased with this buffet.

Stainless and Black Buffet
Very pleased with the buffet; I spent hours going to furniture stores and could not find what I was looking for so resorted to online and it is perfect. It is very well built with a great finish. I really was not expecting it to be so nice for the price I paid, including no tax and free shipping. It took several hours to construct (fortunately my other half likes building furniture and is really good at it), but I believe that is a tribute to the quality ... lots of pieces. It also came with extra hardware so didn't have to worry about being 1 piece short of something.... One thing I like about it is that it is tall; a lot of buffets are short and what it was replacing, which I hated to have to get rid of, was tall so this was an added plus. Only thing I would change is to make it a little wider. I don't know if they make a wider one ... hope not or oops! But the space I had to work with was small, so they probably saved me from my tendancy to overcrowd. This was also my first purchase through amazon. Wouldn't hesitate to buy this way again.

...at least it looks good, right?
I'll start with something good and say that once this is put together and cleaned off, it looks very sharp. However, I also have several complaints about this piece of furniture that future buyers should be aware of.The first thing I noticed was that this was painted with such a cheap and toxic lacquer that I'm almost afraid to have it in my kitchen area around food. Simply standing in the same space reminds me of a nail salon with the pungent fumes wafting off of it.When I removed the pieces from the box, the cheap Styrofoam they used was crumbling so badly that I had to keep a vacuum cleaner on hand to simply keep the kitchen from looking like a snow globe. I put this together yesterday and cleaned up afterward, and I'm still finding little white pieces everywhere - and statically clinging to my pets. Also, because of the overwhelming amount of white chunks sticking to all the black panels, I was unable to see the damage that was done to one of the sides until I had already put the whole cabinet together. Two of the corners had been smashed in transit, and the press-board was fully visible - even more so because of it's light shade against the black. The black coating is so thin on this furniture that even the slightest nick or bump damages the finish in a very noticeable way. The only upside is that the damaged panel will be blocked by the counter we're placing it next to.Now let me say that I've done my stint in putting together Ikea furniture and many many other types as well. This wasn't a first time experience. What was a first experience for me was that several of the holes didn't match up with the corresponding pieces. One of them was so skewed that I was unable to even screw the bolt in - so am now missing a key part. When you put together the drawers, they come with "pre-drilled holes"- but you may as well ignore them since they don't all match up either. Just settle in for some muscled screwdriver action.Lastly, no matter how I've tried to bend and maneuver it, one of the magnets to hold the door closed just doesn't meet up with the corresponding piece on the inside of the door. I don't know how they botched that one... but I guess I shouldn't be too surprised at this point. At the end of the day, this buffet is really just a handsome façade over a cheap piece of junk - the poor mans version of real quality furniture.

Great purchase.
We were leary buying this online and not being able to see the quality beforehand. We have had this for a year now and I have to say it was a GREAT buy! Nice quality and the company was very easy to work with.
