The PERFECT Wood Bristle Brush! BEST brush I’ve ever used!
This brush is so lovely!! Let me start by saying that I’ve been on a mission to find the “perfect hairbrush”. Growing up, we always had a mix match of plastic based brushes with metal bristles that I feel like damaged my hair more than helped it. The past 3 years I had a great small travel wood brush with plastic bristles that I still love (especially the size of it) but I was really hoping for wood bristles because I’ve read a lot about the benefits of wood bristles (+ it’s a more compostable, eco-friendly option). I did try a hairbrush with copper bristles over the summer. It was good and helped with my dry, flaky scalp, BUT it bothered me that the brush was mainly made of plastic and it was a pain to clean the hair out for some reason. This Beyond Naturals brush however....what a DREAM! My sister has the same one and trying hers convinced me to choose the same brand. It feels like a massage on your scalp! I like the more pointed bristles versus rounded ones because I feel like it untangles my hair better and is really helping my dry scalp. Also, supposedly wood bristles are better for distributing your natural hair oils or any products you might be using in your hair. As for the size, the handle is very comfortable to hold and has such a nice, natural curve to it. The brush head is big but not absurdly big. I was worried it would be a little large for traveling but I feel like this is just the right size. The rubber pad part that holds the bristles pushes in vey gently when brushing so I feel like it forms better to my head when brushing. It has been really easy to clean and I think that’s partly because the pointed bristles allow for the hair to be pulled off the brush head more easily. Lastly, as for aesthetics, the color of the wood and bristles is really pretty and natural looking and I like the off-white coloring of the bristles rubber base. It looks good even left out on my bathroom counter! :) Any ways, if your hesitating...go for it! As I’ve mentioned, I’ve probably tested a few dozen brushes in my lifetime and this one is the best I’ve found! LAST COMMENTS: In regards to my hair type (which I think would be helpful for people to know), I am Caucasian with thin, fine, long hair (which has gone through a lot of damage with hair dying). I am not being paid or anything for this review...I’m just really obsessed with this hairbrush and I always find other people’s honest reviews to be so helpful!

Wonderful!
Silly me, I saw a small hole in the brush pad, and I thought "Oh no, a bristle fell out!" My husband came over, laughing at me, showing me it was just a hole for air. Lol! I've only used it a few times so far, but I really love it. I love the way it feels on my scalp so much, I catch myself brushing through my hair one...or two more times after my first brushthrough. It feels like a massage, and it seems to be helping clear off dry scalp stuff. I tossed my paddle brush - you know the plastic kind with little balls - using this I realized how awful that was on my hair, even though I was detangling beforehand with a wide toothed comb. I do the same routine with this brush. I haven't noticed any improvement on the frizz I have at the top of my head, but that could be anything, unrelated to the brush. Maybe I'll start incorporating an oil. Anyway, I don't regret my purchase one bit, and while I am still interested in trying and collecting other wooden brushes. This one is great for those looking for a high quality wood brush to transition to, and I'm happy this is my first brush of this kind. I'm in love! I would really like to see this company create their own full boar bristle brush, since it seems even the fancier brands are mixed with nylon or other materials, and nylon is a no-no...are least that's what my hair tells me. Buy this brush. Treat yourself and your hair.

Pretty cool brush. Doesn't do any tricks though.
I actually really like this brush. I have seborrheic dermatitis and brushes that don't scratch and agitate my scalp are really important to me. I hate plastic brushes because the tips wear out way too quickly so I started looking towards bamboo as another option. This brush is really cheap and the bristles are rounded over and gently comb my scalp so it feels amazing compared to what I've used before. I don't see it being a huge help as far as my dandruff is concerned because I'm using multiple treatments but it's a pretty cool brush. And it's cute as far as hairbrushes go.
