Great feel and function
Exactly the fit, function, and look I was going for. When mounted at 12 o'clock it didn't obstruct my magpul MBus Pro and allowed for a tacticool clamp grip and CoWitness with my MROI took a lot of photos/measurements for others to hopefully answer fitment questions that I too had.

Sloppy and faulty, but corrected by InForce.
The InForce WML 400 was ordered from seller Kenzie's Optics. Product box arrived sloppy, smashed, and open. The light was not seated properly in the case. It looked tampered with or possibly even a used light. I mounted the light on my patrol rifle, and it was used in two critical events. In both events the light failed after 2 minutes. This confirmed my initial suspicious that the seller sent me a used or faulty light. I contacted the InForce company direct, and they corrected the situation to my satisfaction by replacing the light. I tested the new WML 400 sent directly from InForce and it performed great. I would recommend the InForce WML 400 to anyone, and I plan on purchasing more InForce products. However, I will not be making any purchases through Kenzie's Optics.

Great light - but not without issues
First off, its a great piece of kit -- when working, which it usually is, I've found nothing better. Great quality & construction, perfect size/weight, well thought out controls, sized for use with or without gloves. I really like(d) it.Then one day I pulled the rifle for use in the dark, hit the light and -- it dropped out after ~5s. Went from 'flood' to 10% power (ie dim glow) and stayed there. Cycled, repeatedly, same result. (Read other 4-star reviews -- guy had same problem in cold, but this was warm weather so go figure.)Tested later, battery is strong. Light works perfect. No drop outs. No idea why it was occurring.Update: Its some sort of internal connection issue. The light has NEVER been abused -- not dropped once. But I've found shaking the light, particularly when horizontal, causes it to drop. (Yes, I've cleaned & reseated battery & head multiple times -- interior is pristine, head fits tight.) Can't trust it now. Will attempt return and update results.Side note: I found in researching the problem, Inforce no longer publishes manuals or product instructions on their website. Odd and annoying.

Definitely worth the money
I just got it and it looks great. I have not put it through any hard use yet. Also wish I had the larger model to compare but at the end of the day this one is sick.

Nice light
Mounted on 10.5" barrel Ar15. Fired 300 rds with no wobble or malfunctions. Had to mount it far up to get comfortable hyper-extended C-grip. Gets a bit of powder residue from my vortex for how far up its mounted but it takes it. Powder residue just wipes off. No issues so far. The angled tail cap button is great and my primary reason for purchasing it. You don't need a separate light mount and it has a quick release built in. So removing it is very easy. I'm impressed so far just the price is high. I prefer streamlight but you can't beat how streamlined this light is. It sits flush against the picatinny rail. I've beaten the crap out of streamlights and they still work. Have one mounted on every rifle I own except one pictured. Guess we'll see how this one holds up in comparison. It's a very nice tool but like I said...expensive... hope it was a good investment.

Mounted on a shotgun
I mounted this light on my "combat" shotgun, and it has worked well so far.The light has plenty of on/off functions, including constant on, momentary on, and strobe. It has two ways to lock out the light - a long-term option (unscrew the head a turn) and a short-term option - a manual bar that swings down and blocks the button from getting pressed. The angle of the on/off button is perfectly suited to the angle that your thumb would rest on the button, and it has some ribbed texture on the button for added purchase of your thumb.I would have preferred an aluminum light housing, but the light wouldn't cost what it does if that was the case. This is the simplest way to mount a light on your weapon, with the least amount of additional parts or components needed. If you have 5 slots of 1913 rail available on your weapon, you have enough room to mount this light.

This is an amazing little light
This is an amazing little light! I was surprised at how bright it is. I love the on/off button on the tail cap. I have it mounted on my shotgun, and it is really easy to use the momentary on feature, which comes in handy in tactical situations. The only reason why I did not give this light five stars, is because while the light seems sturdy, I am not sure that it could take being dropped. I think it could withstand a couple nocks though. Nevertheless, I really like this light, and I am very happy with it.

Rock-solid, compact, ergonomic. A+ would buy again
I own several weapon-mounted lights from StreamLight, Fenix and others, and this one is my favorite. It's light-weight, compact enough to mount anywhere, and the angled thumb switch is completely comfortable and intuitive. I currently have this light on a Mossberg Shockwave using a GG&G Shockwave flashlight mount being used for "nightstand duty" and I trust it completely.I can't speak to battery life - I've probably run it for a total of 10 minutes or so to get a feel for it, and the original battery is still going strong. The only part that isn't completely intuitive is the switch for momentary/constant-on/strobe - at first, I thought it was a lever to lock the light onto the rail. After getting a feel for it, it's easy enough to use, but I just leave it in momentary-on mode; with the firearm's pump in the forward position, my thumb falls perfectly on the switch, so it's intuitive to use that way.

Gen 2 is the real deal. This light isn't ...
Gen 2 is the real deal. This light isn't as bright as some but it's still plenty bright for defensive use.

Best light for the price.
I’ve become a fan of Inforce. I read they discontinued these as well as the APLC because of newer versions coming out so I ordered one of each before the ran out of stock. I’m sure the new ones will be nice too but they will also be more expensive, around double the price. I like the controls on this light better then other rifle lights but the APLC is my favorite. I took away a star for brightness because there are brighter options but I picked the smaller light to fit better. It puts out plenty of light. I’ve come to realize that pattern makes as much of a difference as lumens and this is great for the size/weight. The controls work well when mounted on the side of the rail where you can reach it with a thumb. Check out the APLC or it’s bigger brother APL.

Save your time and money, buy a different light.
Let me start by saying this it the most ergonomically perfect weapon light ever. But that is where the good ends. The internals were shotty at best, the externals are cheap(cheap, not affordable). My experience for 2 days was great, I mounted the light immediately and loved it, then it started flickering and I could hear a rattle. Upon removal and inspection I found the mounting spring was broken in half, despite it working perfectly new out of the box. I hadn't even fired my rifle with the light mounted before it had broken and succumbed to performance failure by day 3.

Tacticool design and Solid function. Yes, do it, buy it.
Fit and finish is very nice. This thing just looks and feels quality. 400 lumens is enough for room clearing and home defense stuff. It’s really lightweight too. Can’t wait to throw it on my shotgun and rifles for training time. I’ve always liked lights on my pistols and rifles they give my hold an extra hold point when shooting. I’ve had the APL light on my pistol for about 3+ years now... stayed on and functioned after about 2,000+ rounds. Yes, do it, buy it!

Superb, lightweight, compact, and brighter than expected.
I really wanted to like this light when I bought it, but I had no idea that I would just plain love it. Its a great looking light, no doubt, but the thing is very well made and thought out. Easy to mount and dismount, with a well designed button that works from a variety of grip positions. The real treat is the brighness, and perfect mix of spill and focus. I get a very wide field of view with it, yet I can see all the way down my 400yd driveway. It is pure excellence. Highly recommend it.

Looking for an awesome wire-free tactical flashlight
Looking for an awesome wire-free tactical flashlight? This is the one to go with. Fits perfectly on my CZ Scorpion and looks awesome. Light is extremely bright, secure and easy to turn on/off with off shooting thumb. PERFECT and worth the price, comes in BLK & FGE colors and looks great!
