Great value. Aluminum core = thicker wires, which is smart.
Bought for a family member. All info is from them.Needed a way to maintain the battery between rides, but the motorcycle didn't come with a SAE connector. Picked this one as it uses a thicker gauge wire for higher current draw if needed (jumping dead batteries pulls quite a bit). I will say the 10GA wire is aluminum, not pure copper but this isn't designed for high power uses. So for 99% of people this product will be fine. The 16GA versions I keep finding are cheap and not worth the cost people try to sell them for, since the casing looks like 16GA but the wires being aluminum core and slightly thinner than true 16GA mean I personally would get this 10GA version if you ever use it for anything other than a trickle charger (under 2A). The 10GA wires are closer to an 11-12GA in terms of capacity once you factor the aluminum core, and the 16GA are closer to 18GA in terms of capacity. The fuse holder is on the bigger side, but it's well insulated and is peace of mind for those using more power frequently. The ring terminals are hit or miss in terms of crimp quality, but you'd be surprised to find out how many people can't crimp correctly. Both of these factors are stated by several other reviews.Definitely recommend this product.

Used to connect portable solar panel to RV batteries
I used this to have a way to easily connect my portable solar panel with integrated charge controller, to my RV coach batteries. The batteries are physically under the steps when you enter the RV, so the alligator clips won’t really fit, and there is high likelihood they would contact the underside of the metal step and cause a short across the battery. These allowed me to have something that both fits cleanly with minimal obstruction to other stuff, and route the wire just far enough i can safely plug in to the solar panel plug.FYI, if you are using this with a Zamp portable solar suitcase, they come with either alligator clips or an SAE plug that would plug into this. Since Zamp reverses the positive/ negative on the SAE connecter to their unit, (the female point is the positive side), i needed to get a polarity reverser fitting or else it would be connected backwards when you plug it in to this. The good thing is that this has a built in fuse with 3 sizes of fuse included that you can match up with the size of the solar charger. So you have some protection if you connected it backward. If you own a Zamp panel and wanted to be extra safe like i was, i connected up the alligator clips to the panel connection first so i could figure out using the colors of the alligator clips which side of the plug was positive and which was negative, then i put a mark on the plugs to record that. Then when i connected the little jumper that connected to their port and had a SAE fitting on the other end, i could see for sure which side was negative and which was positive. Thats how i knew i needed a polarity reverser to connect to this. Not that theres anything wrong with this item, as it is standard design to accommodate most things like battery tenders, etc. Zamp just has a different connection and as such i needed the little polarity reversers that are a couple dollars to use this item with their stuff. Can’t emphasize enough to not rely on the fuse to protect your equipment from damage and yourself from electric shock. Always be careful of what is touching what when near battery terminals and always be 100% sure you are connecting positive and negative leads correctly. I have damaged equipment in the past which is why i am extra paranoid now.

Well made and heavier 10 gage harness and fuse holder
I bought them to use with my deep cycle batteries on my travel trailer tongue. I also have spare deep cycle batteries I carry in the back of the truck that I use with the trailer or take along when I go tent camping so that I can run some 12V items I take camping. I use the same type 2 pin connectors on those items that are on the fused harnesses. It makes it easy to plug and unplug the batteries without having to loosen the nuts on the battery terminals. I used similar trolling motor connectors but I had to add fuse holders and ring terminals to those. These harnesses are all in one.

Worked great but fuse holder very large.
This was for my motorcycle. I love it except that I thought the fuse holder was larger than it probably needed to be. I managed but it was tough getting the fuse holder to fit into the limited space on the motorcycle.

Nice, fused battery terminal connection.
Nice, fused battery terminal connection. Plan on getting another one to replace the straight wire terminal without a fuse that came with the controller.
