Highwild AR500 Steel Hostage Reactive IDPA Shooting Target 3/8" Thick Armored Steel Torso Targets - Neon Color

Fun target, a little difficult to mount on a stand. Only shot 9mm at the hostage target and it held up pretty well. Looks bigger in the picture but its a decent size. Bring this to the range and everyone is going to want to shoot it and you can make some friends/ shoot some cool guns. The body silhouette took 5.56 but 7.62 left a slight mark.

Very good buy for a simple target. the stand was very easy and cheap to make and the plate and mount are very sturdy. Very satisfying sound when shot and color gives great visibility.

Shot it with a 6mm arc and a 350 legend and it held up great.

Great target. Holds up extremely well to pistol calibers. Several thousand rounds of 9 and 45 with no pitting.The only minor quibbles that I can think of is the little flapper guy up top has popped out a couple of times, and gets stuck every now and then. That mounting system could be improved - round the edges and a retaining clip would sort it nicely. The original coating is thick and tends to chip out, which is really a non-issue since it ends up covered in layers upon layers of spray paint. 9.5/10

Just tested the target out today and it worked pretty well; the swinging hostage part worked especially well for training with pistols. I tried it out with both 9mm and 5.56 and while it took 9mm especially well, 5.56 left small dents and the dents were especially large in the head section. (See the pictures for the dents, the smaller hits are 9mm and larger are 5.56) I expected that the target would take these hits better but I would say that the 5.56 dents is my only qualm with this target. I would recommend this for pistol training but I would recommend against using this with larger calibers.

This target is top-notch! It’s built to last and holds up incredibly well, even after multiple sessions at the range.The visibility is great, making it easy to see shot placement, and the material withstands different calibers without wearing down too quickly.Whether for serious practice or just some fun shooting, this target gets the job done. I’ll definitely be purchasing more!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I got a small one, size A. At 30yrd, it was still easy to see and I was able to hit it pretty easily. The upper target is quite small, so it was hard to see it at that distance, but it gets set up closer, it can easily be targeted. I shot about 200rds of 9mm and 100rds of 38 spl. It didn't have any issues with those rounds. The upper target often get stuck in the middle or spun around even when it's not hit, but overall, I had lots of fun with it. Before I wrapped up my trip, I tried 62gr 223. I shot dozens and i was surprised it stood up there. I noticed that it created some small craters, but at 30 yrds with dozens of 62gr 223 out of 18" barrel, it withstood those rounds pretty well. There are some cheaper targets, but I'm still happy with this purchase and will be shooting at it for awhile. It was fun.

Great target. Has held up well to heavy use with 45acp
