The picture says it's beef. It may be beef but nothing says. Why does it matter? Maybe it doesn't matter but I like to know what I am feeding my Fur Babies. The tendons are thick and a good size for Shih Tzu's. My puppies like them a lot and I like the fact that it takes them awhile to eat them. I think they are reasonably priced for the quantity and size. A Caution: These splinter where others have not. They can be sharp.
