Seemed good - until late 2022
I've been buying this for a couple of years direct from Matcha & Co... but the batches I received in 2023 caused me bloating and bowl irritation... my friend also buy's it direct from Matcha & Co... I've had to stop mine... it was making me have cramps and diarrhea... talking to my friend, they've been experiencing the same thing, running to the loo, and bloating.Looking up 'fake matcha', it seems that because of the high price of matcha, manufacturers and suppliers have in the past been tempted to cut it with chlorella powder (green algae) - which is very cheap, to make more profit, or lower the price.I can't claim that this is the case here, but it's worth bearing in mind, we're in a recession after all.
